Springbrook Golf Course
About
Springbrook Golf Course sits next to Dragon Lake in Dupage County Forest Preserve, boasting some of the finest views of all the open space and trails Naperville has to offer. The course is a local favorite that is both challenging and playable. It's tougher and also considered more scenic that Naperville's other municipal course, Naperbrook. The rough can be a challenge to get out of and there are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the undulating greens. It's a golf course that will test all aspects of your game but it's not overly difficult for high handicappers. Players of all skill levels can approach it with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Springbrook also has a practice facility that includes a natural turf range, two practice putting greens, and a short-game area with bunkers.

If you are looking for a Great, affordable Public Course, try Springbrook Golf in Naperville. Country Club atmosphere, The course is always in good shape, challenging & fun.
Great patio and refreshments to hangout after 9 holes or after your round. The staff is professional and friendly.
You will really enjoy yourself at Springbrook.
Great shape for weather conditions
Never disappointed at this course
Always in top notch condition
Carts
When tee time was made no one mentioned walking only.since I am not able to walk 18 they were kind enough to call sister course (Naperbrook) and got a tee time with carts. Staff went out of there way to help me. Thanks again!
Springbrook
The course was still in excellent condition even though they are going through fall preparations. The course can play very long if you hit from the back tees. There is enough water hazards to make life difficult, but not an overwhelming difficult course. Pro shop staff friendly and helpful with excellent amenities. Brand new driving range.
Good conditions good value
I played the course in the middle of October. Greens were in great condition.
It was busy out on the course with a large number of senior groups which would have slowed down play but they let me play through.
P.ayed behind a sixsome in 4:50
The starter (Pat) informed us on arrival at the tee it was going to be slow because there was a girl’s tournament that morning and warned the pins were tough. The group before us had booked a threesome so the course paired them up with a single. Unfortunately, the group arrived late and as a foursome and the Pro decided since it was already slow, they could go as a fivesome. After the second hole, a fifth group member joined them and they became a sixsome. Apparently all five have a permanent tee time so it was “ok”. We booked as a threesome and were paired with a single who was only playing 9 holes. The foursome behind us was livid on the tenth hole and complained to the pro shop and a ranger removed the sixth player from the group. Anyway, all things considered, we got around in less than 5 hours although it seemed much longer. Course was in superb condition and the greens were quick and challenging.
Great Shape
Springbrook was in great shape. Greens were true and in good condition. Some minor fall patched in the fairways. Rough was tough but consistent. Overall in great shape for October!
excellent course
Excellent course and a great value. Great practice area and a great outdoor facility too.
Quality Public Course
The course is well maintained and has just enough with enough forgiveness, and challenge for an occasional golfer like myself. Considerable value for the bucks.
Course view is not to bed but course condition is no good
Nice course
This course offered good value; as a municipal course it was reasonably well maintained on the fairways and greens. The first cut of rough was good, but it seemed a little further off the fairway it got a less kept, meaning a less consistent feel. Overall, fun play and a good time, especially for the cost.
The Greens...Are Brutal
I played Springbrook for the first time recently with my cousin who lives in Naperville on a particularly warm day last week. There are a handful of nice courses out this way in the suburbs and are all worth a try. The starter was very friendly and makes sure everyone is on schedule, unlike some courses.
We played off the blue tees which stretch to around 6500 yards, but can feel a little short at times especially if the wind is gusting. There are some fun holes, particularly a long par 5 on the front and a par 3 on the back, and nice scenery with a mix of water features and grasses. Each hole feels different and offers a new challenge, and you are rewarded for good shots most of the time. The only aspect that I disliked were the greens…They were in great shape and speedy (which is fine), however there were so many subtle reads and difficult topography that it became extremely frustrating towards the end of the round for a low handicapper such as myself. Putts just didn’t seem to drop. Would I play here again, probably yes for the scenery and difficultly level, but for a more enjoyable round I prefer the sister course Naperbrook, just a bit better.
Good day for golf
My husband and I had a gift card for a hot deal on Golf Now and chose Springbrook to play 18 holes. The pace was slow for many of the holes, but since it was a nice day (barring 20+mph winds), we just let it go and didn't try to play through. The course is really challenging for me, as I've only played a few years. But my husband really likes it. I prefer Naperbrook - I like the links style play and find it challenging, but less so than Springbrook. There were a few areas where the fairways were brown and sparse, but overall it's a nice course and we enjoyed our round.
