Rangers got to do better on weekends.
Course was in pretty good shape aside from a few tee boxes being rough. I always enjoy this course but the pace of play yesterday was brutal. Little over 5 hours for 17 holes, I had to leave early. The rangers were out and kept telling us they were pushing the slow group but never really did anything to push them. It was a Saturday but when you start having 4 or 5 groups on a hole you have to make a move. Typically really happy with this track, will go back but during the week.
Okay for out-of-towner round.
Tee boxes were awful. Greens were cratered like you would expect from a muni. Other than that not bad. Carts were nice with GPS and Bluetooth. Pro shop staff was made of college kids who where unfriendly and provided the least amount of customer service as a living person could. Only saw the bev cart once on the 2nd hole (@2:15 on a Saturday) and never again. All that being said the green fee was $40. It was a $40 track….
Beautiful layout & Conditions
The course was in immaculate shape. The scenery is incredible, the greens are tough but roll incredible. Ball sits up nice on fairways. Great course in the heart of Oak Ridge.
Nice track
Good track for the money. Few tee boxes were rough but the course over all was good
Always A Challenging Round
I have played here before, and always like it. The course seems to hold water much more that others. And like most East Tennessee courses they also make the mistake of using Bermuda grass which is completely wrong for the climate. This time around the staff was super unfriendly for some reason.
Love playing here
Course stays in great shape, greens are good. Some were a little beat up from other players not taking care of pitch marks but not the courses fault. Relatively crowded but okay moved along well. Driving range isn’t the best, grass isn’t grown in and they apparently don’t move teeing area even though they close the range on Mondays. Practice green and chipping area were nice though.
Greenskeeper
Fairways and tees cut way to low in October so we are playing off dirt. Most cup locations were on a slant and some holes you have your back to the hole.
Okay for the time of year.
Layout was good, with risk reward holes. The only bad thing were the Greens were chewed up. My pet peeve is people not fixing ball marks on the green. The other two courses I’ve played, had tarps to cover the green to protect them. This course didn’t.
Great Challenging Layout
Very nice place. Course is challenging and in great shape. The greens rolled smooth. The rate is fantastic. They do have member that think 6 hour rounds are fine. I was hoping for a better pace of play.
Target golf
Really have to place your tee shots
Worth the Money
Overall this course is a great get for the rate in my opinion. The course is really solid shape except for the greens and the bunkers, but that’s really the only catch with this course. The cart alone is worth the fee. Hit balls off of the sod on the range. Facilities were great inside. Beverage cart constantly checking with you.
