Rough day
Fairway not mowed in days rough was very deep finding making finding your ball very hard if only a foot off of the fairway
Michael
Not a long course but a lot of Hills and Valleys very challenging for the money
Excellent fall conditions
Uncommon temperatures in low 60’s; beautiful course; used personal “Norheim leaf rule” for lost ball in leaves. This is one of my favorite courses to play even though I have to travel an hour to play here. I recommend it highly.
Disappointed
Is it possible to get a rain check for back nine which I didn't play? It was raining and closed for aereation and sand. Three holes on front nine were unplayable greens having been also sanded.
Parkview
Relaxing course. Not busy in early afternoon. Challenging.
Not impressed
So the day we went they were arriating the greens so could only golf back nine twice. With that being said the greens on the back nine were just as bad like putting on the beach. They did ask if we wanted to go to a different course but never offered a discount of any kind. I was really disappointed with the outing.
Parkview is lush and green
Parkview is in great shape and looks lush following last weekend’s rain. The slope and rating at this course should be higher in my opinion with all of the hills and undulating greens.
Fun golf course
Mostly open fairways with a few hills and blind iron shots thrown in. The main reason I gave the lower course condition rating was that the greens were unpredictable. Some greens were slow, and other greens were fast. It was hard to know how to putt. But, still a great day on the golf course, and the staff there is always friendly.
Scenic and Good value for $20
This was my first time playing Parkview and, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much. However, I was happily surprised by how scenic and challenging this fun little track was. Most hills are either going up or down significant slopes and you’re forced to hit a lot of blind shots. For only being around 6k yards from the tips, it does not feel like a short course. The hills knock down a lot of your shots and the impeded sight lines make it hard to overpower. The undulation and elevation changes also make for a challenging walk. The condition of the course was not perfect (there were mushrooms growing on nearly every fairway) but it was good enough for a muni. As I have found to be the case at most Pekin golf courses, the staff in the pro shop was not overly friendly. You’re lucky to a get a grunt of acknowledgement when you go to play at Lick or Parkview
