I am a season card holder to all 3 of the Peoria Park District courses. Both the Kellogg Exec and the 18 hole course are very nice. Fairways in great shape. However, the tee boxes really need some sprucing up: they could be leveled and made so that you don't need a hammer to put a tee in the ground. The greens need to be "dressed" more frequently. Too many players don't repair their ball marks, leaving the greens "pock marked." Kellogg especially seems to have this issue.
Kellogg Has Finally Dried Out
Beautiful weather, beautiful course! Always enjoyable!
Course in great shape this early in the season. greens for a public course were also in great shape.

2019 Golf season kick started at Kellogg
The long winter is finally over. Kellogg Golf Course is in great shape and is always a joy to play!
Fairways , tee area are wonderful. Greens are in terrible condition. So many divet bumps ya cant put straight.
Kellogg Golf Course never disappoints!
Jim with Kellogg Golf Course proactively communicated that the course would be open to walkers only due to the extremely wet conditions. I was able to communicate this to my group in plenty of time to make adjustments to the reservation. The course was indeed very saturated but playable. Looking forward to dryer conditions for the next round.
Great layout and course condition
Had a good time. Good pace of play. Good course conditions
K-e-double L-o-double good.
Very nice layout with generous fairways, and trees that are present but not overly punishing. The course features very large, undulating greens that are always on the faster side.
Very nice, was 2 minutes late, was told we were lucky that it wasn't busy or we wouldn't be allowed to play.
Slow p0lay and lacking maintenance
We were a threesome and had to wait numerous times for 2-twosomes playing ahead. In the past, we've had to wait on a fivesome playing ahead. No marshalls to address this problem.
A review of the maintenance staff should be done. The tree removal process is very haphazard. Removal of a tree is a 3 step process - cut tree down, grind and remove the stump, and place topsoil/seed in the depression. Late last fall, numerous trees were cut down with some of the stumps ground and some grinding cleaned. If the 3 step process would have been done, this spring all those spots would have grass growing and being mowed. We played in the morning last week and noticed several large mowers having to navigate around stumps or holes left where stumps were ground with no topsoil placed. What is the cost for this inefficient mowing process. Probably a lot more than the supposed savings of getting rid of fountain sodas.
One of our group was playing a shot from under one of the dead trees not yet removed and a 4" dead limb fell from the tree landing a few feet beside him. That could have been tragic.
There are numerous spots where no grass is growing. Shouldn't a Park District be able to grow grass? Up until Spring of 17, Number 9 green had a 5' round dead spot at about 11 o'clock that was there for 4 years. By the end of last year, it had almost filled-in. A 5 year process is NOT acceptable!! Why would any maintenance person be proud of painting a white ground-under-repair line around an area on a green!!!
We played Newman 2 weeks ago and were very disgusted about the decision to let grass grow in the rough between fairways. The beauty of Peoria PD courses is that the rough areas are mowed allowing continual play by the numerous golfers who lack the skill to always hit their shots in the fairways. This lack of mowing will increase slow play (hunting for balls) and cause more players to NOT choose to play PPD golf courses.
Front 9 was great
Caught a foursome that had no idea what pace of play or keeping up with group in front means.
Waited on every shot no marshal or anyone else to talk to
Season ticket holder...favorite course in Peoria. Good condition....greens filling in nicely from first part of the year.
Very enjoyable round
Golf and cart for $20? Can't beat it for that price. Course was in great shape.
