Fall golf
Excellent shape for this time of year, hope to make it out again before winter!
Willow pond
Somewhat rainy day, so the pace of play was excellent! Course is in great shape, I love it! It is long, I mean it has a 225 yard par 3 that will challenge you! Staff is always very friendly, maintinence men/lawn mowers always stop, so they don't disturb you and are friendly. Please keep up the good work!!!
Golfers starting on back nine
I had just got done with front nine and pro shop let a twosome start back nine right in front of me. This is not right, and it held me up and pretty much ruined my back nine. On the next hole I was getting ready to tee off and another twosome cut in front of me to another hole in front of the twosome in front of me. There is definitely no course management on this course and would not recommend it. It is like helter scelter and no organization.
Willow Pond Better Than Ever
Hey I used to play this course in the mid 1990's. The greens are in great shape! Fairways are nice. The rough is central Illinois rough. It's a nice long test at a value unheard of. Mahomet is double the money!
Good course, needs watered
I enjoyed the course for the value. The most annoying part was that the ground was hard due to no rain. So the ball rolled for miles..
Open course
Open course.....The management and staff are continuing to do a great job in improving the course week by week . many dead trees need to be removed. However, they are working on it throughout the year as time permits .
Good Golf Course to practice
This is my 2nd time playing this golf course because it is very affordable, however it is not the best. There is no car path, but follow what other golfer if you get lost looking for the next tee box, especially for first timers. It's my 2nd time playing, but I still got lost looking for hole #17.
Nice but a bit Pricey
Course was well maintained, and made much easier by the filling is of many fairway bunkers, probably a cost cutting move as the greenside bunkers hadn't been maintained. It's a fairly wide open course and the prevailing winds can cause problems, however it's pricey for that type of course.
Good green conditions
Greens and fairways are in great condition, but sand traps need some work
nice course for the $$
Sand traps need some work but greens are in very good condition
great fairways
The fairways were excellent with a good lie a guarantee, but the rough was a little too penal. Especially as a single if you missed the fairway it was a challenge to find your ball. The sand traps were in sad shape but it is very early in the season. I will go play it again.
golf
i enjoyed the course but the booking said with cart no cart no flagsticks i paid for 18 holes but only played 9 . in the summertime it is a good course to play
Willow pond
This the fourth time in two years that I have gone to this course. I can easily say that the conditions have been getting better. Just stay away from the snack bar, 8.00 dollars for a hamburger!
A nice experience
This was a nice golfing experience and a very good value. The greens are excellent and the fairways while having some crabgrass were mowed and very playable. Nearly every green is elevated making high approaching shots that hold of value. A number of doglegs make a relatively flat venue interesting. All- in- all a worthwhile experience.
This course is very low key, and laid back.
Not too crouded, very friendly staff and golfers . Perfect for taking a high handicap son or daughter to learn how to play.
