Hidden gem of a course
Having played other area courses such as Krueger-Haskell, Atwood-Homestead, and Macktown, which are all fine municipal courses, I was surprised at how much Ledges exceeded my expectations.
I wouldn't say it has a high degree of difficulty, but more so than the other courses I mentioned. Very picturesque and fun to play. Good food and startlingly clean on-course bathrooms with running water.
I can't wait to play there again.
A must play
Nothing but praise for the course. Wonderful layout. Great challenge. Great piece of property with natural look.
Everyone should play the Ledges.
I'm sorry to have to be honest. But the client base that play, not all, but some of the players need to learn more about golf etiquette.
The group we followed played four but had a fifth that continually talked and drank and parked in wrong spots. They threw clubs. Parked carts on greens collars. On tee banks. Didn't take out bunkers. Didn't fix ball marks. Scuffed greens surfaces with their spikes. Were loud. Slow players who didn't understand ready golf. It was upsetting as a golfer too see them play with little respect to the course and the groups behind them.
Its sad, after being in the golf industry for 30 years
to watch such bad behavior and disrespect.
Don't let our bad experience keep you from playing there, it is a treat and fun course to play
Music Killing Golf
Great Course and Staff - too bad there is no policy with regards to music playing on the course. I spoke with the staff and they also agree that it is bad, but cannot really do much about it except to ask a group to turn it down. I play golf to enjoy the game, nature and NOT to have to listen to other people's music. If you need to listen to music just use headphones. Would like to see a restriction put in place to get rid of it. At the ninth hole trying to putt out and the club house is close and someone has music blaring from their cart. after putting out, went over to see if the person would turn the music down. They were not even in the cart. they were in the clubhouse getting items from the snack bar (how rude).
Fun Golf Course
Very fun course, just wish a few more options in the club house for food. Awesome staff in clubhouse/restaurant , and a great course for the value.
Ledges
I've played this course well over 500 times and it never gets boring. This was my home course in high school and growing up. It's always in good shape and it doesn't flood nearly as bad as it used to due to them fixing the irrigation. Friendly staff as well
Quality Golf Course
I've been enjoying playing this course since the day it opened and always enjoy myself. I feel there are several holes that may be termed "Signature Holes"! The architect utilized the existing, natural beauty of the existing landscape and maximized it! Several stunning holes and many challenges for all levels of golf ability. Course conditions are excellent considering this is a public course. None better in the area.
Windy but Good
The Ledges golf course was in really good condition. The greens were great!
I love the layout. There are some holes that are just beautiful to look at. This is definitely one of the best courses in the area.
had a great time
The course was in good shape and the greens were in good shape!
Great course for the money
This is one of my favorite courses. It is a great course for the value and not too far of a drive. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice course that is always in great shape and provides a great layout and challenge.
Hidden gem
My only wish would be for this course to be closer. Excellent condition for this early in the year. 3 hours to play. Very nice people in the clubhouse.
Great Course
This course is a gem. Greens were in excellent condition for time of year. Layout of course is very good for a public course. Carts were a little ratty. Cost was a good value. Could use better yardage markings.
Nice place
We had four couples in our group and everyone of us loved the place. We will definitely be back!
Great condition
This course is one of my wife and I favorite and they did not lets us down today.
Very good public course
First time playing course, will return in future
ledges golf
awesome old course from 1966 have fun
Great Course
Love this course. Very slow play for a Friday. We followed a twosome who followed a 4 some. They should always make foursomes, as it make speed of play better.
