Schaumburg Golf Club - Players/Baer Course
About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Great course - Bad greens
This is one of the best courses I have played and is always in phenomenal condition, with one exception. The greens are kept way too soft which results in tons of pitch marks (most people don't fix) and is easily susceptible to damage. Even a light weight person is leaving imprints from their shoes. If they would firm up the greens, this course would be a 10/10.
Great Course
Love this golf course greens are fast and true when you play early. in the day, but the only problem playing later in the day the greens are totally different. The lack of golf etiquette of todays players are horrible especially when it comes to fixing their own divots and raking a sand trap when you find yourself in one! Think of all the players that are golfing behind you. Pitiful.
Hats off the the golf course superintendent, greenskeeper and all who have a hand in getting and keeping this golf course in pristine condition.
Nice Course but they lure you....
This is a nicely kept course...greens were a bit chewed up though....they lure you into a $38 Hot Deal for walking, then when you arrive, they hit you with a $20 fee for a riding cart no matter if you share a cart or not...something is wrong with that picture... They even said you do not have to share a cart at all. Then Starter says" if my other guy shows up, I'll have to share the cart, but would not get a $10 refund. then I showed him my receipt I paid $20..he said ok. No need to share. Starter and pro shop need to communicate better. But $40 potential per cart revenue is ridiculous!
Good condition and pace of play, but not a HOT DEAL
I played the Baer/Players course and enjoyed the short length, condition, and pace of play. I didn't realize the course length and walking-only fee until I arrived, so I may not play the course again. There are other quality courses closer to me for the same green fee + cart fee. It's not a HOT DEAL as promoted.
Great Experience
The staff was very friendly and helpful from check in, to on course beverages to bar/restaurant after the round. We played the Players course and the signage could have been slightly better in terms of directions for a couple of the holes at the beginning of the 9. The starter did explain the zig, zagging thankfully or I would have had no idea where to go.
