Schaumburg Golf Club - Players/Baer Course
About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Fantastic Round
I played a twilight 9 about a week ago on the Tournament course. The track was very well-maintained, fairly challenging, and quite honestly stunning for a $30 round. My only gripe would be with pace of play, but it was very clear to see why the course was packed at 5pm on a Wednesday evening.
$$$
$73 with a small bucket after 2pm in my opinion is very pricey. Course looked very good. Shorter course even from the tips. But the greens were very beat up unfixed ball marks over most of the greens
Great Course close to the city
The course is so well maintained maybe a little sand in the traps but still wasn't bad. Greens and fairways were all in great shape a really good value. Staff is professional and friendly
Awesome Course
Awesome course in great shape and very fast greens.
Best value around.
Not to mention Chandlers Restaurant which is fabulous.
A Schaumburg resident staple and favorite.
It’s my new favorite course
I have played 5 rounds there this year and plan getting in as many as I can before season ends. The course is in great shape, flat tee boxes, greens are in great shape and consistent for putting. They must be paying the grounds crew well cause it’s one of the few courses I’ve seen since Covid with what seems like a full crew and it shows in course conditions.
It’s also great that they have three 9s that they mix and match when you play 18 so it doesn’t get boring or repetitive.
My only complaint would be pace of play but the course is always packed so it’s to be expected.
Well-kept, challenging course.
Played the Tournament course for the first time and found it a little more challenging than the other two. Lots of bunkers, uneven fairways and undulating greens. The bunkers were in great shape. This course is very well maintained, especially compared to other park district courses.
$20 a piece for a golf cart
Nice course in good shape. The
Greens are really fast.
It will cost you $20 per person for a cart. -Overpriced
$20 cart fee per person
The course is nice. The greens are fast .Go to the right of the building to get to the golf shop. Be prepared to pay $20 a person for your cart but the carts at least have a gps on them
Good bang for your buck
SGC is a good value and course in good condition for a public course!
Great course
One of the best courses in the area I would play this game of course again
