not recommend to beginners
There were lots of geese and their stuff. Some of our balls hit those fresh stuff.
The course is challenging. Never easy.
The best iron practice posdible
If par three water holes are your downfall, this is the course to master.I played for 8 dollars.
Short par 3
Nice little par 3 to play with a beginner or to sharpen the 100 yard and in game
Great Day on the Course
Great place to improve your short game and improve your iron selections.
Great course for the $5
Fun little course. We finished the round in an hour and five minutes. Not much of a pro shop or amenities, but that is not what I go there for to begin with.
I play this course weekly with my 14 year old son who just started golfing with me last year. greens are really good (a few very tricky ones!). only takes an hour to round. only negative is the ton of goose "stuff" on the first 3 holes. Staff is really great, very friendly! We LOVE this little course!!!
this course is small
Just walking and enjoy.usually kids and senier recommend.
Nice little par 3
Excellent course conditions. Fantastic looking course too. If you are looking to strengthen your iron play or just want to shake the rust off before going out on a full length course, this is a great place to go.
It's good at what it's meant for
First off, this is not an elite course, nor is it trying to be. It is a good value for a par 3 that has plenty of water and some tricky greens. With that being said, the tees were a little chewed up as can be expected for late season golf on a par 3. The greens were in pretty good shape with some decent slopes. Overall, a good place to practice your short game for not much more than going to the range.
Nice small course. Good for practice.
Takes just an hour to round. Good for practice when you got short window of time.
The course is great for anyone who wants to improve their short game!
A very well manicured golf course! As far as nine hole par 3 courses go, Walnut Greens is near the top of any one I have ever played. The staff was friendly and welcoming. In addition, the course had sand on all of the holes, and water on several holes as well. The price was very reasonable considering the quality of the course. It was a short course, but very challenging! I would recommend playing here to anyone and everyone who want to work on their short game!
Quality vs Cost
For the price this is the best course I have ever played in the Chicago suburbs.
Sharppening wedge and short game
Good for sharppening iron and short game. Green wonderful. All around pond(water hazard). PS: you can shot 3 balls each hole.
water
Quite a few holes over different side of a lake in the center of the course make it challenging enough without being to advanced for a beginning golfer.
Awesome course and staff
Can't say enough about this course! Greens are phenomenal as is the staff. Very informative about all facets of golf. Watch out for the green on hole#9, stay below the hole for sure. Best value around will definitely play again! Just plain awesome!
