Love this course
Sycamore golf course is one of the nicer park district ran courses you’ll play on. Tee boxes are very well kept for the most part and fairways are weed free for the most part as well. Front 9 can get a little tedious with up and down feel and layout, but still a fun course for the money. The back 9 can get a little more beat up with spring and summer flooding that occurs due to it being along the river, but still a very nice and well kept course.

Always in good shape
I am s member. I find this course to be well run and kept in great condition. It is not an overly difficult course, but has enough challenges to make it interesting. The pace of play is pretty good, but as anywhere depends on the group in front of you. I would recommend this course for a day of enjoyment

Well kept muni
It's a straightforward design, but Sycamore more than makes up for the lack of wow factor with an excellent staff from grounds crew to pro shop to the bar. It's extremely well kept for a municipal course, the pace of play is very good and the bar is reasonably priced and extremely accommodating.

Took 5 and a half hours for 18
This course has the strangest layout I’ve ever seen, if you love 350 yard Par 4’s then this is the course for you, The pace was the slowest I’ve ever played on a course.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course.
