Terrible course
We couldn't get cart at our tee time, had start 20min late. No ranger to control the pace causing way delayed playing time.. course condition is terrible, water over flooding even in fairway. Just spending money.
A solid 3.8 in my book (4.2 average is a bit of stretch folks)
There's a lot right about Midlane. I play it once each year with our GolfVisions players pass book. I was most pleasantly surprised this time. Course overall was in best shape I've seen in several years except for sand traps which are hit and miss. The left fairway trap on the 7th hole hasn't been maintained in years (hardpan/rocks). Right side of 6th fairway full of water.....and that's the only really wet spot on the whole course right now. Greens had very good speed and extremely smooth. Just make sure to check when you book a tee time because aeration season is upon us. Fairways/roughs in decent shape - tees a bit beat up. Midlane is a relentless track with water hazards everywhere. Mid to high handicappers will have difficulty here and the amount of hazards and forced carries does slow play. White tees are a burly 132 slope/6150 - play the whites....especially if you can't drive the ball over 250 consistently and fairly accurately. Grass range and practice facility green - both in tremendous shape. Full sit down eats/bar service off the proshop - $10 for hot dog is a bit much - at least the beers are priced decently. Large practice green right off the proshop with representative speeds you'll face on the course. All of the employees were helpful and want you to have a great experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend the course for play. Not a four star - high 3 stars. I hope to play Midlane again prior to the end of this season...especially if they don't aerate their greens....greens were in that good of shape folks.
Disappointing 2nd round
I came back to this course after a positive 1st round and did not have as great of an experience this time. Every sand trap was unplayable with no warnings about this issue. 8 mins between tee times with no starter created a backlog where 9 different groups were spread out over 3 holes, creating a major holdup for each and every shot. I will likely give this place one more shot but the lack of staff, packed course & standing water in sand is likely a sign of mismanagement vs anything else.
Great course
Hands down a great course. Well maybe one bad thing there might have been a few traps that needed work. But that's normal everywhere. Oh and another bad thing no Logo balls in pro shop! I will return thank for a great round.
Seen better days
When you drive up, resort building looks bad. Chain link fencing has been there for years now. Course is in decent shape. Traps need better grooming. But everything else seems dated. Lotsa water presents a challenge but it’s all ugly weedy..Need a marshall out there to move things along. Twosome ahead of me were not using the cart paths, parking right next to greens; they needed supervision. This is no longer a priority golf destination.
No refund
Hello, I went to play this course from golf now. It rained so they weren’t letting carts out which is understandable. But they would not offer a pull cart for your clubs and would refuse to credit the money back for a round another day or a refund. They said it was because of golf now which this review is for. Credit me my $55 round as I have a heavy bag and will not walk 18 holes with it. Or at least offer a refund, change of day, or pull cart.
Little tough
Great course. More difficult than courses in area.
Aging course, not getting better
Greens fairly good. Sand traps were mostly unkept, not raked, baked hard. Too many patches of thin/dirt in the fairways.
Somehow backed up
Course was great but single players ruined pace of play. It was basically open all day but somehow we ended up waiting most of the back 9
