Nice course
Greens were tough to read but fair. Open fairways. Only complaint is no water fountain or coolers or bucket for towel.
Good value for the money
This is a picturesque course hidden in the far northern suburb. Unless you live in the nearby area, this is a hike from anywhere in the Chicagoland area. With the Golfnow deal, it’s a bargain at $35. On the day I played there is hardly anyone so I was handed the cart key after checking in and off I went. There was no starter to check tee time at 1st tee. The layout is quite interesting with plenty of water on many holes. Many ponds are also covered in water lilies and occasional herons can be spotted. The greens were in good shape with plenty of slopes to deal with. The only complaint is that some bunkers are packed down like clay.
Once a great track
Once they changed the course back to 18 they had drainage problems on several fairways
Maybe new owners will restore and improve overall management of course and conditions
Midlane Country Club
A fun, yet challenging course that was in terrific shape. It’s a pretty course that could be underrated in many respects.
First timer
I played Midlane CC yesterday for the first time and really enjoyed it. It’s not a course than many talk about so I was surprised how nice it was. LOTS of water. Pace of play in the front 9 was brutal but then it freed up on the back. The only other downside was the bunkers. They hadn’t been raked and were pretty solid after the rainfall.
Can't believe more people don't know about this course.
Despite this very wet Spring, this course was in remarkably good condition. There were a few areas of ground under repair, but the greens were rolling nicely. This is a fun course to play.
Great track
In all fairness, this is a fabulous track, alot of stznding water, but we also had record setting rain fall.. still was able to use carts. Book it, play it, you WONT be disappointed.. great for all skill levels
