There are two championship golf courses available at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago as well as a top-ranked practice center. The Joe Jemsek Course, formerly known as the Lakewood, was added in 1929, three years after the club opened. Unlike the original St. Andrews Course, the Joe Jemsek Course has a hillier terrain. Although it is shorter than the other golf course at 6,770 yards, the elevation changes make it seem similar in length to the 6,920-yard St. Andrews Course. The course features tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers, offering plenty of challenges but overall it is not an overly intimidating layout for beginners. There are several long and demanding par 3s throughout. The best example being the tricky second hole, which has a green that is guarded by two deep bunkers and towering trees.

Great for February golf, greens are challenging and fast but fun, par 3 put your accuracy to the test, couple tough par 4’s but a few gettable one’s as well. Overall 7.2-10
Great course
First time playing at St.Andrews me and my two other buddies had a great first time. Course was beautiful, pro shop was very nice, and the staff was very friendly. Only downside was I booked the Joe Jemsek course on golf now but when I got there the person working the pro shop said we would be playing the st. Andrew’s course that day. Nonetheless it was still a great time and I will definitely be back

I have played lately because traffic but staff said “don’t worry you came to relax and you need to enjoy with playing golf”.
I’m playing at the day extreme hot in summer staff driving golf cart to give extra cool water for golfers. I love all staff here.
Nice course but pace was awful
The course is beautiful but the pacing was awful. 3 groups ,backed up on hole. Need minimum 10 mins between groups.
Great place!
Realy enjoyed golfing here, close to home and a very well kept course can’t complain one bit, not a ton of BS hazards to make it super hard for the average golfer.
Great Time Course #2
Played the Joe Jemsek course, course #2, aka Lakewood. Staff were super friendly. Course was in great condition and pace on Sunday morning was at just over 4 hours. Would definitely play here again.
One of my Favorite Courses.
I drive from Oak Park to play this course. Always Friendly Staff, carts are clean and run good, the grounds are well kept and in very good condition every time I play. The pace of play is really good as they send out groups every 10 minutes giving a nice buffer to work with.
