St. Andrews Golf & Country Club - St. Andrews Course
About
Opened in 1926, in the "Classical ERA" of U.S. course development, St. Andrews Golf & Country Club has been recognized as the oldest family owned-operated golf course in Illinois.
St. Andrews Golf & Country Club was originally built in 1926 as a rival to the Chicago Golf Club. Since then, the club has built its own reputation and stands out for its two championship golf courses and top-ranked practice center. The St. Andrews Course is the club's original layout before the Joe Jemsek Course was added in 1929. It is also the longer of the two golf courses. The club and course draw their name from the famous Scottish club known as the "home of golf," but the course is far from being a seaside links. Instead, the mostly flat layout weaves through mature trees. The golf course offers a challenge with tight, tree-lined doglegs and large, contoured greens framed with sand bunkers. It has a memorable finish with a par 4 that features a water hazard along the entire right side of the fairway.

Wow!
I have never thought about St. Andrews in
Chicago!!
Nothing related Scottish St. Andrews, but it is
nearly 100years of History!
Great course to play! I would like to come back
again!!
I have played both courses here, and I have to tell you that both sides are great! The greens are hilly and challenging and the trees are abundant, but they don’t crowd the holes so there is room for your balls to wander to either side. You really get the sense of being outdoors when playing here. There are some holes where you need to walk/drive a bit through “the woods” to get to the next hole. This experience really disconnects you from the modern world and lets you really get in touch with being away from it all.
Jack1162893, thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing St. Andrews Golf & Country Club - St. Andrews Course.

Fall golf
Played Monday Oct 2nd. Very cheap golf now rate.
I thought maybe greens were aerated. I was told that occurred a few days earlier. Greens were great. Maybe the best ever at this course.
Played in under 4 hours. Felt like we were at a private course
placek, thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing St. Andrews Golf & Country Club - St. Andrews Course.
Good but long course
First time to play. Good condition and easy to play. But it was long par 4 play😃
Good, Bad & Ugly
The St Andrews Course had some nice features , a good club house and was a fun course overall. However, the 5.5 hour round was atrocious and whoever is the marshal/ranger should be fired, I didn’t see them once and it was a brutally slow day. Add to that they charge $23 for a cart, which was almost as much as I paid for the whole round.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our golf course. We sincerely apologize for the slow round you experienced and any inconvenience it caused. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our service.
Great place great value
Nice course good conditions,’greens were rolling nice the only thing they should upgrade the golf carts. The carts girls were very nice.
