West/East at Arrowhead Golf Club
About
Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. The entire course features water on 17 holes and 77 strategically placed bunkers. The course is divided into three nine-hole courses that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The club opened in 1927 but two of the golf courses, South and East, were renovated in 2011, followed by the West nine a year after. The golf courses are all equally challenging but they each have a unique character. The West/East Course starts with the shortest nine but it also has one of the most intimidating water holes, the par-3 seventh, which has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water. With such a challenging variety of courses, it is not hard to imagine why Arrowhead G.C. is considered one of the best municipal golf courses in the Chicago area.

A WEDDING VENUE NOT A GOLF COURSE
Title says it all.
This track has the potential of being a very nice course. If management was interested in setting up the course for fair play. Rather than saving on maintenance and course set-up.There is no second cut on the fairways. Fairway and 3.5"-4" ruff. On the greens no collar. Green and 3.5"-4" ruff. This is not difficult. This is unfair. Not fair to miss a fairway by 3 yards or a green 1 yard and be in ruff.
As most all the reviews indicate. This is a very nice wedding venue. If you're looking to get married this is an acceptable choice. If you are looking to play golf. Move on.
It is evident that management prefers to make money on the weddings not on golf play.
I have played this course 3 times. There are some nice holes. Hoping that the set-up would change. Not. I play a lot of golf. At many different courses. This is one course that is not fun unfair and I will not play.
A beauty of Dupage County
A great, well maintained course with beauty and challenge everyone will love.
Slow Play at Arrowhead
Waited on every shot. 2:30 for front 9. Ranger told us they had an outing in the morning that started a half hour late and a few groups got stacked up on the first tee as a result. Ranger was doing his best to move slower groups along but packed course made that difficult.
Love Golf!!!
The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. I think they need rangers on the course and if they had them, they weren't doing their job. Even though we were a twosome, the course was very backed up. At one point, there were four groups on the sixth hole. I am an experienced golfer and this was uncalled for even for a twosome.
Wonderful Course For Visiting Chicago Metro Area
One week ago there was snow on the ground so the greens are super slick due to not enough sun exposure for grass to grow. The fairways are filling in nicely and the layout is challenging but fun to play. I was a single and Andrew in the pro shop worked me in and paired me with a very nice couple from Chicago. Clean facilities, friendly staff and beautifully maintained course. One huge bonus; the course is surrounded by a nature preserve so there are no houses; simply an amazing natural outdoor experience. When in the area I will for sure play again.
Was a great day for a walk
Considering the course was covered in snow the day before the course was perfect.
Fairways pretty soggy but playable.
Greens still bumpy from aeration.
Course was not very busy pace of play was perfect.
The staff is always friendly
The food and bar area is always excellent
good course---excellent staff
We enjoyed playing the course---for this time of the season, the course was in excellent condition.
the staff was outstanding---from checking in to the starter (jim) we were made to feel very welcome. Afterwards, we had lunch and drinks at the bar. Ivona, the bartender was informative, friendly and professional. Thanks for a great time
Great Early Spring Round
Very friendly and accommodating staff. For an early spring round, the course was in great shape. I would definitely come back to Arrowhead. Great clubhouse. Very enjoyable day.
Amazing course
This is definitely one of the best courses in Illinois...Always a great experience
Great golf
Course was challenging but very fair. Great variety of holes. Great condition and great pace of play 3:50 18 holes at 7:15 am Labor Day! One of the areas best.
Best Greens around
hands down fastest and smoothest greens around. The entire course is in better condition then most country clubs.
