Horrible
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, anywhere. The course was not busy at all but was continually harassed by the golf rangers to hurry up when we were maybe 5 minutes behind.
The course conditions are horrendous. There has to be zero upkeep on the fairways or the rough. If you happened to hit your ball in the rough, good luck finding it. Fairways are like concrete and riding in a cart, that might have been from Caddyshack, felt like it was going to break down on every bump.
I don’t know why I paid to golf here
Big trees line the fairways, everything you'd expect on the North Shore.
Wonderful old course, all the amenities, good value, great golf atmosphere.

So-so at best
Find me a bumpier course, cart path or fairways....and where is the ranger? Had a 3 some and 2 some join in front of an inch of twosomes. Added at least an hour to the round

Great course close to the city. Excellent to get out and walk especially if you get a twilight rate.

A kin to theft
There is no way you could convince me this course owns a lawn mower. Fairways were like shag carpet, rough was worse than winged foot. What a joke. Not to mention all in the round was like $70 with a cart. Could have played harborside for that same price... you know or hit a golf ball around a public park. Would likely be better kept.

Best track on the north shore
Hidden gem of a course. Greens keepers and maintenance do a fantastic job and the place was in great condition. Target golf at its finest. Would totally recommend and they have a par 3 course for practicing short game.

Good conditions
Like the lay out tee to green. Interesting dog legs & water over par 3s. Some trenches for water holes kind of hokie. Can be tough to find your ball in the tall rough. Overall, like the course.

Fun course
Had a blast playing the course for the first time. Challenging in parts. Only complaint was around the greens as they just aerated them, and they were hard to putt the reads. Overall great place to play golf, and it was very scenic too.

Solid North Shore Choice
I played Winnetka Golf Club Monday. It was a pleasant surprise. Although there were some areas that were beat up...and a couple of greens in tough condition....overall it was a really enjoyable round! Easily walked, and plenty of sand and water to provide difficulty. I would definitely come back again!
