Hidden gem

This course on the surface screams average, short for long hitters, fairly inconspicuous public course. from hole one though a mindful player will notice the welcoming short par four and soon discover a creek blind from the tee guarding the green dotted by a bunker for any would be eagle seekers. This course is chalked full of creative and very simple troubles. Tim Liddy the course designer was a close colleague of Pete Dye and Tim went on to redesign the duke in St. Andrews Scotland in 94. he did the redesign of Meadowbrook in 93, and the subtle hints of his magic is here to be found on this public gem where you can walk a twilight 18 for 15$

More than meets the eye here.

Good course

It is a great course over all. Matt (the owner) is very friendly. I do have a few tips before you go
1. 5$ and above will be able to charge card anything below cash only

2. Don’t get behind a group of old men, it will be forever if they don’t let you play through so bring something to do, fidget with, or simply have a charged phone so you can do things on there while waiting

3. Bring some extra balls for holes 16 and 17 I have lost more than my fair share there in my 20-30 times playing this course (coming from a 27 handicapper though so does it still have a “fair share”)

4. The fence on hole 13 has a gate if you hit a ball OB in the open par 5

Great course would rank in the top 3 courses in central Indiana and I’ve played most of them in the area in and around central Indiana

Little city course

Meadowbrook is very short and can be scored upon by most decent players. The greens were quick, in great shape and had some break to them. The fairways and tees were in ok shape especially for the type of course and time of year. The range here is nice and offers a good place for patrons to practice. The course i a bit crammed in together, so make sure you follow signs and tee makers. There isn't anything special about this course, but it is worth a go.

Short Narrow Course

Meadowbrook is a short regulation course, with several Par 4's that an above average hitter can drive. It is narrow though, as are most of the greens so if you miss there are some streams and ponds and mature trees around to grab your ball. A lot of the holes are smashed together too so if it's busy bring a batting helmet and be prepared to duck.

The course is in decent shape, though it does show a lot of water damage in spots from the recent storms. Greens rolled well and had some bend to them. You can score here if you're having a good ball striking day. Has a decent looking range for warm-up too and a retro clubhouse,

If you find yourself in Anderson it's better than Grandview, though I'd go to Killbuck before here. But it's not bad for something different or for beginners/seniors.

Very Good Course

Although its only 5423 yards off the blues, (it's in the city limits) it has danger on almost every hole i.e sand, water or OB. It has large size greens and is well kept. The fairways and greens are mowed like one would expect and the rough is only 1-2 inches. If you drive the ball 200 - 225 yards, you will have fun at this course, I did. The staff was friendly and very helpful. What a GREAT place to play and have fun doing it.

Fun, Relaxing Course

This course always seems to be in good condition. The greens always roll true and fairways are cut well. The course layout is good too. There are some great looking holes where creeks and ponds come into play. The downside of this course for me is that it plays too short. There are 2-3 par 4s under 300 yards from the tips that are just straight away without any hazards or out-of-bounds. Otherwise fun course and will boost your ego with some lower scores.
