Challenging course
Beautiful day for golf and the course was in decent shape if they could change anything please fix the giant potholes in the cart paths.
Don’t do it!
Flags missing from greens, sad when you hit a ball in the middle of the fairway and takes forever to find your ball because of the height of the grass. You playing off a hill shot constantly with hidden greens. 20 minutes just to get hotdogs at the turn. Will never go back.
This course can be good
It was my first time playing this course. I thought that it was very hilly and some pars seemed a little longer than should be. That being said, I got my cuts downhill/uphill for-sure and it was definitely worth the money.
Tough course
Here’s the deal... not overly long but u better be ready to play a lot of shots above or below ur feet. U can score well if u hit it straight but if not, it’ll be a long day!! Lots of great holes with elevation changes and doglegs. Course is playing very fair now that it’s not real dry and it has a ton of character!! Greens were slower today with the rain but in great shape. Played on a Hot Deal from Golfnow for $15 and it was a steal. JP and Ethan are solid and will treat you right at the pro shop. BTW, the pro shop is nothing special but has essentials... Have lunch or dinner after at Woody’s restaurant.. best ribeyes around
1st time playing the course.
Caught a “hot deal” on Golfnow and decided to give them a try. Drove the 30+ mins to find the course. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The pace of play was good as there were only a few groups on the course. As others have stated the cart paths are in serious need of repair/replacement. Overall the greens and fairways were in good/ fair shape. The layout is a little quirky, as my group more than once found themselves questioning where the next hole was or which way they went. Local knowledge i’m sure helps as this is a good example of target golf. The hilly terrain and slope of the fairways penalize incorrect club selection. Several times I hit what I thought was solid shot only to have guessed incorrectly. Not at the top my list, but possibly if I found another good “hot deal” I might return and try again.
Beautiful Vistas,
The course is quite challenging, especially if you haven't played here before. You need to really think about each shot and aiming for the middle of the fairway isn't always the best play! The course if very rolling, which gives way to beautiful vistas from numerous spots throughout the course. There are some tight shots and using a driver isn't always the best play. The course is always in great shape, even when the area is in a drought, the greenskeepers do a fabulous job of maintaining the fairways, tees, and greens.
Downside? No drinking water on the course. The cart path is in terrible shape, so driving a cart requires a little bit of skill!
Golf
The Carts are kinda junky, but functional. The cart paths are in dire need of re-paving. It's best to stay in the grass
Best deal ever
I've played here before, and as always the staff is friendly, and the hot deal I got was u real.
The course was worth 50 a round today and I paid 25 bucks after I bought beers.
I'll be back
Not bad!
The lack of a simple hole and flat spot, almost anywhere on this course, makes up for the lack of on-course water. Some of the holes could be marked a little better and the cart paths could be a little friendlier, but all in all, this is a challenging courage and worrh the drive to Indiana to play; we will be going back! The chicken sandwich and fries from the Bar was pretty good too!
Decent shape. Good value.
Very hilly. Layout is not great. Enjoyed the round though. Course is well cared for and the staff were very nice.
Cool course, weird staff
This is actually a pretty neat rustic course but the staff for some reason followed me all the way around the course for 3 straight hours on a very slow day! The course is huge and spread out so it was really weird, and lame. I’m not a ball hawk or anything, was just playing as a single. I started to wonder if they like, liked me or something lol... I don’t know, it was bizarre. Bring a playing partner and then I guess you prob won’t get stalked.
