Great course
Golf course is in great shape and a good value for the money. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Great Course
Overall Everything was great. Nice fairways! Water hazards are not to worry about. Some days are very busy, others hardly anyone is out there. I like the course because of the big fairways and the elevation changes. Beautiful trees. Greens can be tough to putt on.
Great value.
Course in good shape and was partnered up with a couple of like players. Over all an enjoyable experience.
Lots of trees
Good course in great shape. Pretty hard but playable, might lose a ball or two in the trees.
Overall fun course to play
Fun, challenging course. I thought the rough was a little long. Lost a few balls that shouldn't have been lost. But overall, probably the best course in the area.
Nice layout
Layout is great holes are long for average golfer. Stuff in club house priced a bit high. Would not pay regular green fees to play.
Play in the spring
Indiana university never puts a ton of money in there course. Play this before June and your going to love it....after that, the conditions take a nose dive due to budget restraints I assume. Greens are fast right now, and perfect. Fairways were a little shaggy for my taste, but they are growing fast right now. Overall, play it now, and bypass it later in the season.
It is a very beautiful course.
The only thing i did not like about this course is that it was crowded and busy. I had to rush my shots.
Crowded and busy!
Tee times are very close to each other. I have to rush my shots because there are people behind me. I already let one group through. I had to hurry my shots. I felt rush.
IU
Beautiful rolling hills, nice people, course in pretty good shape considering long winter!
Nice course, but needs a little attention to the tees and greens!!
Very nice course. When it's wet, it stays wet. Fairly open fairways and large sloping greens! Several long par 4s, tough to reach w/out a good drive and all par 3s are long!! Overall a decent course, Will play again next summer!!
Just OK
Not a bad course, just nothing that makes it a good course. Greens were fairly boring, most all sloping from back to front, some severely. A couple nice doglegs through the trees. Play it if you happen to be in the area, but don't travel far for it.
Great Shape!
This course has not been well maintained in the past. However, when I played it yesterday, I have to say that the fairways and greens were actually in immaculate condition. Some hard work has gone into the course. Will play again there soon!
pretty course
From the tips, back nine is a bear!! Overall, very entertaining course, but you need to play it more than once.
The greens were a little slow but rolled good. The sand traps. Fairways, rough etc were all in good shape.
If your not hitting your driver well. It's best to hit a 3wood or 3 iron. Is kind if a tight course with woods all around. It's a fun course to play.
Hoosier Nation
I went to IU for college and loved every minute of it. In all my time down in Bloomington I never played this course. I was pleasantly surprised with this course. It was not the nicest course I have ever played but it was extremely well maintained. My issue with this course were all the greens were slanted from back to front in the exact same manner. The greens rolled great however. I would have liked a little more variety in the hole layouts. I would recommend this course to anyone that is alumni or just a Hoosier fan.
excellent shape, greens a little too slow
Have played this course many times over the last 20 years, and it has gone through some rough years, but it's in very good shape this year
Tough course
There are few straight level fairway shots.. most fairways have either a dogleg or are over a hill or both. The 3 pars are all around 195 yards with small greens from the white tees. I think that they should vary the par three's rather than have them all around 180 + yards.. The course fairways were very rough and the rough itself needed another mowing as you could see a lot of clover in the rough, consequently you could lose a lot of balls in plain sight.
Long but fair
We played from the tips, so it was difficult. Par 3's were the hardest. All were over 200 yards. The back nine was the toughest. All par 4's except 1 par 3. Overall, the course was fun.
Good Muni
It's nothing more than a municipal course that's actually maintained. The greens are a bit different than most that I play and, for the most part, are small. You have to be straight but that's the golden rule of golf, this course just gets a bit narrow on the front.
