Great shape
Course is in great shape, well maintained, little slow due to public but still 4 hrs. Good value vs other courses in the area.
One of the top 10 courses I have ever played
Might be my favorite course now, challenging but very enjoyable at the same time. Pictures of the holes on the scorecard and placards by the teeboxes helped a lot to not leave you guessing on hazard placement and distances. The course was in great shape and you could drive the cart almost anywhere you wanted. I would highly recommend finding a hot deal on GolfNow for this course, I played 18 for half the price of 9.
First time at Wooded View
Good muni with some challenging holes but nothing too difficult for the normal golfer. Excellent value.
Good value with hot deal
The course was still suffering from substantial rain in the area recently. I was very impressed with the quality of the greens. Fairways had some standing water but overall were in good shape. Course was challenging for a short course. Tree lined fairways punish players who are not accurate off the tee.
Fun Muni!
Went off at 8:12 on Sat. The course was wet; paths only. Don't let the name intimidate you, the course, while lined on several holes by mature trees, is not "tight." Fairly flat greens and a bit slow, but consistent. Was able to hit driver on most par 4s and all 5a. Finished in just under 4 1/2 hours. Enjoyed the round.
Very Nice Course
Was very happy with the course set-up and quality of fairways and greens.
Tight fairways with woods on both sides make this course challenging if you cannot hit tee shots straight.
Best bang for your buck
If you can't get a hot deal the $24 - $26 greens fee from 12-3pm is the best for the $ around here! Staff is cool and decent driving range. Could really use new range balls
Will play here again
This course was one of the best maintained public courses that I have played this year. After having considerable rain, course drained better than I thought it would and made for great playable conditions. It was also a fun course that required you to think about setting up second shots on some holes, while other were straight forward. Overall it was a great round for an even better value.
Wooded View yes or no
Course gets better all the time, the only kicker is the price has also went way up, even on the weekday, however you can find a good deal at times on golfnow
Great Day and Great Golf Course
All conditions were perfect, including the facilities and weather.
Great Course
Despite it being my first time out on this course I thought it exceeded my expectations. The greens were manicured really well and so were the tee boxes. Where they need the help were the fairways. They weren't terrible but it may be bothersome to hit it off dirt patches. Also, when you play here, learn to hit the ball straight. Once you hit it in the rough or trees you might as well drop a ball and take a stroke.
Regarding the staff, they were friendly and made sure everything ran smoothly. Overall, it was a great course and I would definitely play again.
This course is great for the money!
It's was nice course even tho it was on the wet side but they couldn't help with the area getting about 8 inches of rain in the pass week. It's definitely a nice course and you can tell they up keep very well.
Good conditions all year
This was one of the best courses to play this year. They didn't seem to have any of the problems other people did. We played this fall and the fairways were still green and the rough was nice. Greens were in pretty good shape and they were consistent speed all day.
Trees!!
You can be in BIG trouble if you can not hit the ball straight!
Wish more were like it
Have played here twice and have enjoyed it both times. I've found the staff to be extremely pleasant and courteous. They take great care of the course; the tees, fairways and greens looked great. Bunkers need a freshening or to be broken up - they are like portland cement on some holes. Like all public courses people tend not to repair their ballmarks on the green but that's on the players, not the course. I enjoy fixing them (both mine and others) as it helps me relax on the green. I try to fix at least three per green trying to make up for the lazy players that don't...
The course provides an accurate player a great chance to score but some of the holes are very tight so it will play harder for those with less control off the tee.
$24 dollars was what we paid (between noon and three I believe.)
While on the tee at hole number 4 we actually saw 3 BALD EAGLES in the sky above us! At one point they were only about 20 feet above us as two of them were fighting and kept loosing altitude. Very cool experience.
Really enjoy this course because of the amount of character it has. The back nine really requires good club selection and shot placement too as there are a lot of guarded greens with large trees and doglegs that you can't just grip it and rip it.
Just skip it
Awful course, awful conditions and angry old men that they use to work there, just skip it
Best Sothern Indiana Course for the money
Very friendly Staff course well taken care of would play again
Public but well maintained
Nice challenge and fair price on golf now. Greens are really good, fairways fair shape.
22 Aug
course is still in good shape, greens smooth but somewhat slow, guess they are letting them grow out to save them
