Not a great course
Didn't find this to be a very good course. Course had nice grass, and the greens were quick, but those were the only things that didn't need help. There were unfilled divots everywhere, including on the greens. Bunkers were either mud, or like hitting off of dirt, Never needed my sand wedge. Tees had a lot of spots, and was generally difficult to find a good place to tee from. Driving range was awful, only a single short flag, no yardage markers, and the grass was so high you couldn't see where the ball stopped. Course design is very clunky; very poorly laid out, no real rhythm, and badly placed bunkers and doglegs. Seemed like obstacles were just put in random spots. I did not enjoy the shop pairing my on a cart with another single, and then charging more for my father-in-law to ride with me than I paid for the round itself. Ridiculous .
Could've been better
Fair course. Needs some up keep, divots all over not filled with sand. Narrow fairways, bunkers were mud mostly, and what was dry was just hard. Greens had good speed, though tees were hard and spotty. Driving range needs a lot of help; no distance markers other than a single flag close to the front, and tall grass so that the ball wasn't visible.
Wooded View Golf Course has holes to fit all golfers.
Hottest day of the year so far but a slight breeze kept it tolerable. Greens were slightly dry but held approaches. Fairways in good shape but tee boxes were hard and trouble teeing up. Course lays out well with something for every golfer. My favorite public course.
Great pace. For a Saturday.... unusual as there was no one immediately in front of us or behind us so we were able to at at our own pace----normally fast. Greens were in good shape.
as the course name says its a bit woodsy. Nice conditions most always. Pretty course with a few very interesting holes.
Nice Course Overall
This is a nice course overall. For a public course it has your standard amenities. There is not much variety within the clubhouse shop, but there is a Dicks Sporting Goods right down the road. My only caution would be that the course does hold water if it's rained the day or two prior. The tee boxes and greens were nice. The fairways had not greened up much yet. But it's still early in the year.
Fun course
Had a few rough patches & bunkers need some work but greens were good & overall value for the price is great. Fun course.
Wooded View
Good value. The course is much improved over several years ago. Greens were a little slow but recently punched.
Great Experience
We traveled down from Canada (north of Toronto) for some early golf to get away from the snow. Found Wooded View for a great deal on GolfNow ($50 for 3 of us to play w/cart). It was a cool overcast day with a few spurts of rain, obviously too cold for the locals since we had the entire course to ourselves it seemed. No one was behind/or in front of us at any point.
The course itself has a great layout. It wasn't overly challenging, but easy to get yourself into trouble with a number of water hazards. The staff was extremely friendly, an overall great experience. For the price, I'd definitely play it again if ever in the area.
Check with course before booking with golfnow
The course was is decent shape for being so early in the year, fairways were brown, but that is to be expected this time of year. I should have called the course prior to booking, when we showed up at course after driving from Louisville, there was a sign saying cart path only. So u had to aim towards the cart path with your tee shot, or walk as much when using a push cart. Golfnow should get course condition info from the individual courses and have it on the website for people to see prior to booking. This was not Wooded Views fault.
Great course
I golf here about once a week and can't find anything to complain about
Good value
Fun short course from the white tees. Small elevated greens. Bunkers are not in great shape. Mostly hard packed brown sand. Very convenient location. Nice clubhouse with veranda. Overall very good for the money. Nice staff as well. Makes for a good day.
Great Course, Great Value, Great Round
Only complaint is fairways were hard as a rock because Mother Nature decided we didn't need rain the last 2 months. 2 some played in 3.5 hours with steady pace of play.
Fun Course - Great Value
The course is in great shape and the gentleman in the pro shop was extremely friendly.
This was a super price, but even their Autumn regular price of $24 is a good value.
Go play Wooded View while the weather is still good. You'll be glad you did.
Great pace of play
Great pace of play because it's so expensive to play without a hot deal and not worth $40 or $50 a person. However course is in good shape and would get a lot more busdiness if they lowered the price.
Good for the money
This was my first round at Wooded View, and our group really enjoyed it. If you are hitting the ball well, it is very scoreable, but also challenging at times. Course in great condition, too.
if you can't see the hole from tee to green, expect some hidden challenges
coupon was honored with no questions. The course was in very good shaped. Play was smooth with little or no holdups. A good golf experience.
Good course, close by, & good value
First time playing here for each member of our foursome (8-17 handicap ). Everything went well and we all had a good time. Great weather conditions didn't hurt either.
Well maintained and in fantastic shape
Got a great deal from Golf Now, could have played 18, but I got 9 in at a little over an hour, pace of play was fantastic, fairways are usually great here, today they were very good, well groomed, bu the greens were true and fairly fast. A great public course in a Park like setting, the staff are always friendly and the price could not be beat!!! Thanks Golf Now and Wooded View for a great afternoon of Golf!!!
