Sloppy day
The last time I played this course, it was a rainy wet day. This is obviously nothing the course can control so my review is based on previous play.
The course is always in great condition and the front 9 starts out along the lake and is very fun to play. The greens and fairways are always in good condition.
The only reason that I rated the course layout as a 4 star is because I feel that 6 and 7 a very long par 4's ( I know I could play forward tees but play the same tees throughout the course). Also the fairway on the 10th is blocked by a huge tree in the middle of the fairway leaving a very small opening to the fairway.
I always enjoy this course but always feel that those 3 holes are a little unfair to an average golfer.
Jewel in the Rough.....no pun intended
Lovely course on Lake Shafer
Staff at pro shop great
Staff in bar/restaurant awesome!! Thank you Sara!!!!
Second trip here in 3 weeks, will definitely be back
Great features
Challenging course that is aways in great condition. Always enjoy playing golf there.
Great course
All course conditions are great except for bunkers.
Bunkers are mostly gravel and I don't want to scratch up my wedges. Still, I will play it every chance I get.
Enjoyable Day
We had a great day playing in ideal temperatures, course uncrowded. My only complaint is that they need to have a set of tees around 6000 yards. They go from 6400+ down to 5600. At 6400 the men's tees are a tall order for me, with 3 par 4's that are well over 400 yards, a par 3 that is over 200 yards, and LONG dog-leg par 5's that would require three sterling shots. Next time I'm going to play the maroon tees even though it threatens my masculinity. But a 457 par 4? Really?
Scenic Track
Always enjoy playing TCC. The Clubhouse was closed. Would of liked to ate lunch after the round. Still with that said. Worth the 35 mile drive to play.
What a gem!
I was stunned at the scenery of this course! The course couldn't have been in better condition. I can't wait to play here again.
Outstanding Value--I'll be back!
Good, challenging course that was in really excellent condition for mid-August. The staff were outstanding and the most polite and helpful I have encountered in some time. Tippecanoe Country Club is a hidden treasure in Monticello, Indiana and I plan to return and play the course again!
Overpriced and Overrated!
Staff required us to play with another twosome and there was no reason for it as the course was empty. Pro shop manager had a terrible attitude. I will never play there again and I will pass my opinion on to my friends.
Challenging yet not too difficult.
The course itself is in excellent condition in all aspects; Challenging but not impossibly difficult. Beautifully maintained.
GREAT COURSE
Great course we drove 100 miles to get there, worth the drive due to golfnow hot deal.front nine follow the lake and seemed easier then back nine.the course is very well maintained.only negative was restaurant /bar .got attiude from the minute we walked in to get drinks.ask about food for turn or after round she said no problem,at turn closed treated like we a nuisance call buy Golf Course restaurant with separately run they apologized the course is great just bring food
Cordial Pro and Staff
The course was in great shape and the Pro and staff were extremely cordial.
This course is in pristine condition
I know it was HOT yesterday, but I am shocked by the lack of play, Tippecanoe CC is always in great shape, love the course. I would love to give it a bad review to keep it my secret, but I can't. Wish it was a little closer to where I live
A steal
This is one of the nicest courses In Indiana. The first three or four holes on the lake are beautiful. The rest of the course is very nice to great condition and not very busy. Only downfall is the restaurant bar did not open until 11 o'clock
VERY NICE!!!!!!
THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE COURSE WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.. ALL FOUR OF US ENJOYED THE AFTERNOON!!!!
super sunny day at tippy
was treated to a very nice golf course on a nice sunny day, for 1 st time there are some holes that require some local knowledge , not too many flat putts makes this course interesting, need your short game here, will be back soon
beautiful course
Course was in great shape, great day to be out near the lake playing golf.
Great Location
The course was in great shape, including the greens which were rolling around a 7 I would guess. This was only my third time playing here. I'm working in the area for the summer from out of town.
Not an overly difficult course but there are a few holes that will test you. There are several dogleg holes to contend with.
One of the best things about this layout is where it is located. Right off of Lake Shaffer. Very nice views of the lake from several holes on the front nine. Overall a very nice experience.
I would definitely recommend it.
