Course Needs some work
needs a lot of work. water the grass once in a while. ditches and brushes all over course
Good Value
Cottonwood has two terrific pros and a solid staff. Both courses are fun to play.
Love the Lakes
A great local course. Usually kept in good shape. You can't beat the price, it's a great value. That's why I play here a lot.
The lakes course in the wind
I really enjoyed my day playing the Lakes Course with pop's. The course is usually pretty easy when not windy. However my Dad and I had a great time.
Old but good
Course is pretty dated but still a decent value. Way too many people out at the same time, long wait between holes.
Cottonwood Lakes
The tee boxes on most holes were in poor shape as were the greens. Our foursome got hit into several times by a single walker. Even with the cheap rates, will not play Cottonwood again.
Cottonwood Lakes
Always a good value, course is on a nice piece of real estate but needs a little love.
pace of play and schedule
In one word painfully slow! Golfnow advertised a "fast play" for 2 only. when we got there we were paired up, which wasn't too bad, however we were told there was 3 groups in front of us, all together with a 5some in front. The pace was terrible, took 45 min. for the first 2 holes. was over a 5 hour round that was wait, wait, wait! I believe the advertising was misleading and the course to allow 5somes with groups of 3 at the start of the day makes for a long day for everyone.
Good value, average course
The Golf Now deal we had made this a good value and it's worth checking with the course anytime because they seem to have a lot of deals, especially during the weekdays. The staff was pleasant. The fairway grass was poor and the greens extremely slow but the layout and a couple very challenging par 3s made it fun to play.
great day wonderful play
My best friend, as well as my only lady and I went out and had a great time. I had to pay and this was a wonderful valueThanks
Fun day
me and 3 of my friends played Cottonwood the lakes it was a good day all went well pace was good course was fun and challenging.I've always liked this course even nicer since the remodel
Good course to play
Good course to play with this price.
However, need course patrol to control time balance to play.
This course needs upgrading.
I have played this course on occasion for many years and it's sad to see it in such poor condition. Cottonwood used to be on par with Singing Hills (now Sycuan) for many years but has been going downhill slowly over the years to where it doesn't come close to Sycuan anymore. The bunkers in particular were more pebbles than sand and that also affected the roll on the greens.
The greens were in better overall shape today than recently and not as many leaves on the course to hide your ball due to the time of year which was nice! The pace of play was great also.
The food in the bar was good, reasonably priced and the waitress was nice.
Considering the reasonable price I guess I shouldn't complain about the conditions. It is still a fun course to play.
Fix the Greens
Good place to play for the money but the greens need A LOT of work!
Fun course, good price, nice staff
Pro shop guy gave me a full refund on a large bucket of balls I didn't get a chance to use, no questions asked. I've been at other courses where they've said, tough luck. Greens had been punched, but other than that, course was in pretty good shape.
Cottonwood was fun
We played the lakes course hole 1 is a 645 yard monster but the remaining front is pretty tamed, 12-13-14 will wreck your card be smart and pull the right club.
Good value for what we paid
Greens were in great shape, tee boxes require alot of attention (very dry/hard, uneven, lots of divots) fairways were decent except way to many leaves and branches on the grounds/fairways, sand traps very hard packed with lots of rocks. Way to many water hazards without water, course just not up to par as it was last year. Big improvement on having the tee boxes clearly marked (no more paper plates on the trees)
Hot deal price was a good value for these conditions!
Staff very friendly and helpful!
We'll there again.
