One problem
I don’t know if it was a mess up for golf now or Sherwood its self, but when purchasing my round it said cart included, when I arrived it was walking only. Granted its been rainy so I was prepared to walk but I still paid for the cart. Overall a wonderful golf course/facility.
Embarrassing
Took 4 online tee times in the middle of a tournament. Then acted like we were the bad guys for hooking it. The ranger drove us around the front 9 looking for a spot to let us start (ended up being 7), then came back 5 minutes later saying “no breakfast balls, you can’t slow the tournament guys down”.
EMBARRASSING
They took my tee time (and others I played with) knowing that they have a tournament going on. Because of that, the ranger drove us around the course to stick us in the middle to play out. Meanwhile it took 2.5 hours to play 7 holes, with the ranger complaining to us “no breakfast balls, we can’t slow down the tournament”
Golf
Course is beautiful, but ranger bunch too many golfers together, there were three groups of golfers waiting to start so pace of play was very slow
Love it
The golf bro is one of thee best!! Always in great condition! Love golfing here!!!!
Scherwood
Excellent course, little slow play but great overall
The course is average
What should be a 30 dollar course at best is nearly 50. Fairways were nearly as long as the rough next to them. Overall, I had a good time though. If you’re looking for a high end course that is well maintained, there are better options for your money.
Satisfied
Course is well cared for.
Course personnel are professional and pleasant.
Course play was a bit slow.
Very 'meh'
My biggest complaint about this course would be the hidden "hazards", throughout. Let me give you an example of these "hazards".. 220-240 yards right down the center of the fairway (on multiple holes), they have completely unkept drainage ditches with 3 foot grass/weeds. The problem is, some of these are positioned where they are invisible from the tee. I had what I thought were perfectly straight drives eaten by those multiple times.. The rough, if I had to guess, hadn't been cut in about a week and had dead leaves ALL OVER, making any rough-hit balls VERY difficult to find. There were also blind water spots in common driving ranges, surrounding tight fairways. Combine all of these, and I have never lost so many balls during a round. The actual hazards are well placed, and decently maintained, but the "hazards" kinda ruined this course for me. The course was pretty confusing to get around, and the fairways/tee boxes were below average on upkeep. The greens were, however, nicely kept and rolled true. My only contact was with the pro shop guy, who was very standoff-ish, and had a "duh"-attitude with the couple simple questions I had (never been there before). If the "hazards" were better taken care of, I would recommend it as a decent budget course option. With it's current condition, I will not be returning.
