Reviews
You are Mr Rude
My wife and l were happy with the grounds but what upset us was the rude gentleman behind the counter. We will never go back. My wife wouldn't let me say anything at the time but l really wanted to
I hope your people skills improve one day.
Course has a nice layout
Overall nice golf course. Unusual for Midwest changes in elevation, valleys and uphill fairways where you can't see the green. The course was in very good condition despite heavy rain in previous days. It was a quite day, Sunday afternoon, started early. In the flip side the restaurant was closed. During "check in" in the pro shop person had some dry humor comment I didn't get. Otherwise nice people.
A great mix of old and new
Since the addition of 9 holes some years ago the mature, undulating and fairly tight front nine has been complemented by a modern back nine and good practice facilities, meandering its way up hill and down dale through an ever growing golfing community. A very enjoyable playing experience, with a pretty challenging finishing hole.
Very poor staff service
Staff not too friendly to people booking from golf now
GREAT COURSE, ?FRIENDLINESS
WE ARRIVED APPROXIMATELY 40 MINUTES PRIOR TO OUR TIME. STAFF INDICATED THAT WOULD NOT CHECK US IN OR GIVE US THE CART UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO TEE OFF TIME (EVEN THOUGH COURSE WAS NOT CROWDED AND FIRST TEE EMPTY). WHEN I HAVE PLAYED HERE PREVIOUSLY (NOT A HOT DEAL) STAFF WERE HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY.
overpriced
love the course like 2 courses in one,way different nines. the pace of play was real bad slow and hole locations seem real unfair. the weekend price 40 dollars way overpriced, but i will always come back at a low rate , fun course to play!
Pleasant surprise
I fell in love with this course, it's super fun and takes a lot of imagination to score low but that's my kind of course. I can't wait to golf there again
Great layout
This course has a great layout with very different 9's. The back seemed a little bit newer but both were challenging with tough greens and blind shots.
pleasant, but long round.
nice golf course, great shape. we had a group of 5 in front and in back of us. beautiful greens.
Course in great shape!
We played this coursse on a"Hot deal" and we were quite impressed with the great condition it was in. We got to the pro shop early as there is a time change entering Indiana from Michigan. The starter did not look impressed but did let us go out early.
Fairways were very green, rough not to long. It is a forgiving course and the greens are fairly straight although they read differently. Nice looking restaurant but we did not stay after the round. No pre prepared food at the turn. Would play again for the right price.
Overall good course
I have played this course a good amount the last two years which makes it very predictable when playing in a group. For the most part the front 9 is straight forward with many scoring holes with short par 4's and straight par 5's. The greens are pretty straight forward, but if the pin location is in the front to middle of the green you have to make sure to leave the ball short for a uphill putt. The views aren't the most spectacular, but they aren't the most horrible. The front 9 is pretty house heavy on the right hand side, so the slicers will have some trouble finding their balls.
The back 9 is the more entertaining of the course. They offer many different angles, and hole length. The back 9 is not as straight as the front, and people can smack the driver a few more times.
The only issue you'll have at this course are the people that live around the course. They don't understand the concept of living on a golf course, and will be very disrespectful if you come close to their yard. Please look at for the gentleman on the 17th hole due to him letting his dog out when people are teeing off.
Overall, it's worth the value if your able to get the hot deal.
An interesting and challenging course.
I really like Legacy but long roughs and a couple tough pin placements today made think of taking up tee-ball.
Great time
Slow pace, but first couple nice days of the year
The Hills are Alive!
Nice course with lots of hills. It's pretty wide open for the most part, but be ready to be hitting the ball on side hills. The greens had been aerated and sanded so it is difficult to comment on whether the greens were fast or ran true. Nice course....staff in the clubhouse was not overly friendly...he wasn't rude....just not real friendly. I'm told they have very good restaurant, but it wasn't open when I was there.
Nice course, pro shop unfriendly.
The first impression was of a less than friendly pro shop staff that seemed to be put out to check me in, sell range balls and later sell drinks. Never said a friendly word. Part of this seemed to be due to using golfnow. Very odd. The course was nice. I like the rolling hills. Greens were fast and had breaks. Rolled true though. I enjoyed the course, but not sure if I will make the 45 minute drive again because of the proshop man that was there. Too many nice courses around to put up with that.
Fun Course, well maintained
The front nine and back nine are completely different. Each of them fun in their own right. I will definitely play again!
Worth the stop
Very nice course.
Front 9 is older, tree lined & narrower fairways. A good challenge.
Back nine is newer & more open. Each hole is a new scene. Very nice
This course is very nice to play
the weather couldnt be any better to play in sunny
Don't make a mistake
The course was in very good shape. The only issue I had was with how thick the grass was just off the fairway. Some places it was so tall that I knew it was right off the fir way and I never found it. Most places it was so thick and gnarled it grabbed my club and made a tough approach shot almost impossible. I usually shoot mid to upper 80s and I shot a 95 on this course. Would be very playable if the grass wasn't so thick.
Really cool golf course with 2 very different 9's
Played mid week with 11:00 am tee time. The course was is GREAT shape, and was a great deal using golf now hot deal tee time.
The front 9 is a the original 9 hole layout. It is challenging in that it has some hills and small greens on most holes (which was common back when this course was opened).
The back 9 is the newest 9 holes and it has several very nice houses (that are not at all in play). It also has some elevation changes but has much more generous fairways and much larger greens.
It has been 5 years since I have played the course and they now have a new club house with what appeared to be a very nice casual dining restaurant attached.
Overall one of the best values in the area.
Would play there again in a heartbeat.
