Not bad for a muni at this price
Paying $14 to play per person with cart I would be hard pressed to say anything bad about the course. After all that price barely gets you 9 holes walking anymore let alone 18 & a cart with a course that has a unique layout, moderate difficulty with all the water that comes into play and for a municipal course isn't in too bad of a shape. Bunkers were a bit scarce but had fluffy sand in them, greens were a nice shade yet manicured. Some holes did need some reseeding/re-sod in spots and some roughs were a bit patchy as well but hey it's a muni for $14 not Ruffled Feathers for $60. Pace of play was just a hair over 3 and 1/2 as we did wait on some holes and the longest wait of the day was teeing off on 1 as we had 3 groups of 2 &3 go out ahead of us. Staff was nice and friendly also it was a laid back atmosphere so if you're looking for a quick, dirty and cheap, hassle free round of golf give Turkey Creek a try.
Played through water.
Due to heavy rains the night before, other courses would not let carts out. We were able to ride here, taking care to avoid standing water.
Good course for a last minute Hot Deal
Got on as a single with a $16 hot deal a half hour before the tee time. Paired with a group of three who couldn't have been nicer. Many courses were closed in the area because of wet conditions, but Turkey Creek held up nicely. For February golf in Northwest Indiana, could not have hoped for much better.
Good course and we had fun.
The course has a good layout. It was my first time and they had signs up directing you to most holes. The creek adds to the challenge but it’s not too tough. Greens were quick and sloped particularly #1. Fairways were more open than the online preview imo but had a few narrow ones which adds to the challenge. The conditions were above average on the putting greens. Most bunkers at most courses need work so I can’t complain too hard about that. I’d definitely go back and the price was right.
Basic county course
Played here a number of times, nice weather caused slow play as it was busy. Average shape, greens a little beat up from animal tracks and people not fixing divots.
Great for practice!
It’s a good course for someone that never wants to golf again. I don’t think they have maintained it since it opened.
Place was a mess
Place was in rough shape…they just changed the first hole pin right in front of us…the guy changing the hole and how he left things explains why the rest of the place looks terrible.
Greens were cut very thin also
Overall good experience
Very good price very good accommodations. Staff was great.
