This course is pretty nice, especially for the cost. Have been there several times now due to Illinois being locked down. The main problem is they don't like players who have booked through GolfNow.
Worth the drive
Course is really nice, kind of off the beaten path. Due to Illinois ridiculous restrictions due to Covid-19 it was well worth the drive, but employees do not like use of GolfNow and have no problem letting you know it.
Nice course, very good variety of holes, nice topography for what is a flat part of the country, excellent pace as I was the first off, cart paths remind me of Midwest streets in the spring with chuck holes, uneven paths, but would play here again if not for the distance from my home..NICE TRACK!
An Old Style Course
Trying to dodge the rain in this area, we drove to the western edge of Indiana to get behind the front that went through. This course was available and we had the first tee time out on this day. Through reviews, knew that it was an older course. The trees were mature, and the conditions were good for the most part. They could use a little better signage.
Since it is a local area course, not a whole lot of guidance in monitoring... we were going on smoothly and as we made the turn, of course, some local jumped on the backside first and we were held up waiting on the back nine...if nobody is coming up 8 or 9, then starting on back is ok with me... but in this case, got our drink and moved on.
this course has many holes that will make you want to play them again and with a different perspective. approach shots from left or right are critical. though not a long course, the further off the tee eliminates some tough pin placements.
