A well kept secret
Maxwelton is over 70 years old. It has that old feel that courses in Indiana of this era have. It is kept in extremely good shape considering the amount of play that it handles. When you first look at thye course you say no problem. After your eighteen holes you look at your score card and say "what happened". Very challenging and is good for repeated play. Tee locations and pin locations can totally change your game. Greens are small and challenging.
Fun time
Fairly simple layout. More like a city municipal course. Greens are extremely challenging to putt on! In very good condition.
Great course
Everything was immaculate. Fairways were as good as they could be. Greens were rolling but the ball would still stop. I hadn’t played this course since the mid 80’s and it was everything I remembered it was.
Great Course, bring $$$$ for water
Great Course
Great Conditions
only downside:
Just towards the end one golfer ahead of us took four or five shots from the tee box before moving ahead
and
bring $$$$$ even for water
no drinking water on the course, and even charge you $$$ to fill own water bottle. at the club house...
Great course, fun to play.
Friendly staff, well manicured course, fun to play.
Lovely Course
Nice course would be much better if they would had rain. Dry hard pan! Greens food.
Would have been better if golfpass would have worked and I did not have to pay twice.
Hidden Gem
Firsttime playing and i was not disappointed. Great course, well kept, challenging and those greens are quick. We'll definitely be back.
Greens Punched
The course was pretty clear of leaves which is a plus this time of year. The greens had just been punched which I understand but the price was too high for those conditions. This was my complaint for this round.
Not worth the hype
Kind of neglected to tell us about the aerification of the greens, tees, fairways, rough, etc...Very average conditions. Old course...no problem...decent layout...Nasty help. until you tip them well.
Outstanding Course and a must play for any avid golfer!
Course was very well maintained from tee to green everything was green, full and in my opinion in tip top shape! Greens rolled pure and course was challenging but playable for all levels of golfers! I will make the hour drive from Fort Wayne again to play here but will be bringing more people next time!
