In the late 90s this was a well kept gem. I hope the city of Lewisburg buys it and gives the attention it deserves. If not it will become a pasture for cattle to graze.
This course has incredible potential
Anyone interested in purchasing this golf course between now and October 1st please contact the owner. If it doesn’t sell the course will be closing. This course has a great layout it just needs some attention and could be a great track.
Classic lost.
Fairways are marginal. Tee boxes and greens are a bit better. This course at 1 time was a jewel. I hope someone purchases the track and spends the money needed to get this course back to it's formal condition. With the population of Johnson County moving south, it might be worth the investment.
I use the navi to find the place. about 25 miles out from Raymore. not bad. club house staff very helpful and friendly. Especially when I called and told them I am a little bit behind schedule. Awesome deal through golf now.!!! Not crowded at all. Course upkeep is really fair compared to others around the city. I will definitely go back came same deal .
Course was in good shape
I played this course in June, using my pushcart. GolfNow had openings for $10. It was definitely worth that. I would pay $30 to play this course again (but that would have to be with a cart). Greens were nice, but the bermuda fairways were in excellent shape.
Beast of a walker
I used to be a member here but moved towns, but it is a really challenging course that tests any level of amateurs game. The greens were in great shape, the fairways were in fair condition (rain & flooding had created some issues). I walked the course because they offered incredibly cheap rates for walking. Unless you really enjoy a good workout I don't suggest you walk it, but for the price I could not resist and it was a physical workout doing so, which I actually enjoyed. Aside from that it's a great course I would play again, especially for the rate I got it at.
Scam
The online rate was 15 then they charged us an additional 40 for the cart. It cost me more to use golfnow than to just show up and play. Very poor overall experience. I will never play this course again
Awful course
Worst course conditions I have ever seen. It's almost like they put 0 effort into the upkeep of this course. The fairway is overrun with dandelions, and some fairways appear that they haven't been cut in weeks. The course would be pretty fun to play, if the conditions wernt so terrible. If the fairways didn't have dandelions in them, they had massive holes, or dead grass all over. Course is advertised a single 4 stars, but should be around 2.
Great small-town course
Fairways still in the process of turning green from winter. Looks like they are starting to treat the dandelions but there are parts of the course overrun with them. Makes it difficult to find a ball that's off the fairway but still in play. Clubhouse is remodeled and looks great inside. Other facilities on the course need work.
Horrible conditions
By the far the absolute worse coarse conditions I have ever played. Weeds have overtaken every fairway and the rough was not mowed at all. Good shots were repeatedly lost balls. And they charged full price knowing their coarse is as such. Will not play again.
Great December Play
Course was in decent shape for time of year.
Will play again in spring to see what conditions are then. Layout was nice but a little tricky without course knowledge.
A gem
Challenges throughout the course. Well managed and great conditions.
Metcalf Ridge
Fun course and fast pace of play. A good challenge.
A Hidden Gem
This is an interesting layout, although a few of the holes have such dramatic uphill elevation changes, that there are a few goofy holes. Course conditions were pretty good, but I couldn't help but wonder how a little more effort may have made the course a truly nice golf course. Even minor maintenance would be an upgrade (e.g. a lot of weeds and grass growing up through railroad ties in spots). The staff was friendly and helpful. I rated this course a "3", but it is so close to a "4".
Nice course
The course was in very good condition. Greens rolled good and fairways were in good shape the only thing is no snack shop or restaurant
fun layout...nice greens
will play again for sure....had a lot of rain and had long fairways...but I'm sure much better when manicured
Great course for the price
The course layout was challenging without being impossible. It is a well kept secret as the course was not crowded. It was brutally hot and was evident on the course. My only complaint, if it can be classified as one, is the lack of water stations around the course. Coolers with water would be a welcomed addition to this hidden gem.
Metcalf Ridge
The course was a little dry; however, the holes are very challenging and difficult. It was a lot of fun to play this course.
Metcalf ridge
Really challenging course and layout. Always enjoy it there. Staff very friendly.
