Not a fan of crabgrass fairways
No grass, other than crabgrass, covering all fairways and rough. Greens were good.
Beautiful Day - Great Pace Of Play
Went to play on a Tuesday afternoon and were about the only people on a well maintained course. Smallish greens and patchy fairways, but lots of fun to play! Will be going again!
Average 2 Below Average @ Best
I drove from KC to play this course. Not worth it. Fairways were dried and hardly any grass to hit off. Greens were OK to putt. No sure if I would return.
Disappointed
Front 9 was closed all day, tee boxes didn't look like they had been mowed at all this season, only about half the fairways were mowed, lots and lots of dandelions. We had a hard time finding our ball in the fairway. If we'd have had to pay full price I think we would have asked for a refund and gone elsewhere.
Good layout
fairways are clean and good shape for not having much moisture this winter or spring. Greens played well. Great value for nice old course that is well maintained.
Great course for the money staff always pleasant pace of play is usually very good.
Great course for value some nice challenging holes several nice water features play is usually fast great to play during the week.
Well worth it.
Course is very playable. Has 4-5 very hard holes. Is very fair overall. Staff is great . And nearly always get on. One of my favorites.
Good layout. Bad shape.
Layout of course is great. Bad is the fairway is just water grass. Some of the greens half of the green was dead. The other half of the greens in good shape. Very expensive for the condition of the course.
Good challenging course
Put some balls in some bad spots will definitely set up difficult 2nd shots. Fix alot of divots when playing but what course do you not... and makes my round a little slower, but it's one of my favorites no matter what.
Nice place
I golf it maybe two times a month most of the greens are in excellent shape fairways are maybe below average but overall great place to golf never crowded
Nice layout
This course has gradually went down over the years, fairways were in terrible condition, nothing but water grass, greens were decent, I would not recommend this course to a friend.
1st time here
First time on this course. For the money it is as good as any courses around.
A nicer goat track.
The course really isn't bad, but it isn't good either. They are losing some fairways and teeboxes and overwater the greens so they are really soft (and slow).
The layout of the course isn't bad, but having never played it before, it is pretty difficult to figure out 1) how to get to some of the holes 2) where to place your tee shot. On several holes I hit good shots only to find the hole layout chart was wrong and the hole has a really sharp dogleg. The back nine seems a bit better than the front in that regard.
The course reminds me of Duffy Martin builds in Oklahoma. He was known for his "average man" golf courses without bunkers.
It's a good value for 10-15 bucks, but I wouldn't pay more than that.
Hidden Gem
Well worth the drive - pace of play is great and the course is well-maintained. Greens exceed expectations.
