good course
fun course played well and greens in good shape better than most in the area and value for fees great
Would definitely return
Was in Louisville on business and snuck in an early morning round. Arrived at the course before the sun came up and the place was already hopping as they prepared for an outing for over 500 people! As a result I was only able to play the east course (twice for 18 holes) but still found the course to be in good condition - especially considering the amount of play that this course gets. I would like to return and have a chance at the other two nines.
Great Course
Recently moved to Louisville from Michigan, and have already played all 27 hole. Already one of my favorite courses. It's very challenging and every hole has something special. Fairways in great condition, but greens were on a little on the slow side, but I highly recommend this course to anyone who haven't played it before.
lots of elevation changes
I liked the course and would recommend it to friends.
its a good course
Course is very maintained but the play was very slow. had a foursome in front of us that they would talk on the tee boxes instead of hitting with no one in front of them and on the greens the same thing. The course needs rangers driving around keeping the pace of play faster. Other than that the course is fun to play
Glad that round is over!!
27 hole layout. Played east and south courses. East course, all you want and more, regardless of tee box. Staff is very nice. For some reason, Quail has a hard time maintaining consistency with the Bermuda grass, but they keep trying. So our group places the ball. Most importantly, I'll keep coming back.
Excellent course
Great course. Challenging but not frustrating. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Great course for a low Golf Now price!
Course was in good condition. Great layout with some challenging holes.
Punched fairways
The day we played, the fairways had been recently punched and required rolling the ball in the fairway. It had been raining and that also made it quite muddy.
Still playable 20 years later!
Would have been even greater if not so many unrepaired ball marks!
Good course-Great Value
Course was in good shape. Greens and tee boxes were maintained. Staff was friendly. East course is the most challanging and scenic. I like to play 2-3 times year.
Very good condition very slow pace of play
This could be a little gem if not for the extremely slow pace of play. Well maintained and in the best shape we have seen it. Unfortunately lots of golfers who either don't know or don't care about playing ready golf. Very frustrating for guys that are used to playing in 3.5 hours or less. Would be nice if they had a ranger to move people along.
Challenging and beautiful course
Beautiful setting..trees, winding fairways, lots of elevation changes...just what I was looking for in a Kentucky golf course. East course is quite challenging and secluded, and very beautiful. Hit it straight or you get into trouble fast! Greens well maintained for a municipal course, albeit with plenty of divots to fix while waiting for your partner to putt. South course much easier than east, but fun nonetheless (I didn't play the west course). I will most definitely come back to play next time I am in the Louisville area.
Great course
27 holes of well maintained fairways and greens. Enjoyable to play, pleasing to the eye. The west 9 is the easiest to score on although challenging, the south 9 is more challenging, but the east is the beast, very challenging. Great course
This course gives you the bang for the buck!
Played the South / West courses at 7:00 am, so the greens were holding and putting well. Each course uses elevation changes, sloped fairways and green side bunkers as visual challenges. The course is in the best shape I've seen it in years. Tip: keep the ball below the hole on approach shots. My friend suffered numerous 3 putts by having to putt downhill.
The course was overbooked!
This course has 3 nines. obvious overbookings slowed pace of play to a halt.
Course is layed out great.
The course was in pretty good shape. They were doing some work on a couple of the fairways which made it hard to play in certian spots. The course is very beautiful and the greens were in great shape.
Nice coarse
The day I played this coarse it had rained the entire week before but the coarse was in good shape. I played the South coarse and found it to be fairly open. would recommend to someone learning to play as you are not going to lose balls on every hole
