Excellent Course
I’ve played this course multiple times. It’s close by, reasonably priced and they keep pace of play great. Driving range and chip/putt area are also available. I’ll continue to play here.
My primary complaint are the large greens and inconsistent speed on them. You don’t know green to green how fast they will be. This uncertainty happens regardless of weather and when you play.
Otherwise, it’s a great public course that I will continuen to play.
My Go To Course, Unfortunate Day
I love playing St Andrews. It's always in great shape for the amount of play it gets. My last time out though they had a weather delay in the morning, but for some reason shoved everyone in back to back by the time my 1pm tee time came around. My group ended up waiting for nearly 30 minutes at a tee box because of all the groups that got bunched up. I did not get comped a free round nor was there an apology. We called the clubhouse to let them know and they didn't seem to do much. Just told us that they started throwing groups out too quickly... no duh... Also when are the going to stop hitting off the mats on the range and use the grass? Or do they always just use the mats? Anyway, other than that incident it's a great place to play. Would ALWAYS recommend to a friend. It's my go to course.
Not sure why the bad reviews. Course is the best bang for the buck, well kept and well maintained, challenging holes and layout, perfect fairways, yes usually slow greens, usually not always. Walk the back 9 on a Sunday morning and you can't beat the price. Pace is good, I have finished 18 in 3:20.
Slow play and slow greens
Have played for several years and in 2016 has gone down hill badly. They still play 5-somes going for revenue rather than 4-some for player satisfaction like all other courses. One 5-some will slow the pace of play for all players behind them. They say 5 can play as fast as 4 and that is true if one stays in the cart and acts as a 4 caddie. The greens are long, shaggy and very bumpy and slow. Their sister course OP Golf has a much better greens crew and maintains their putting surface significantly better.
What a gem
This could be the best muni course you'll ever play.
Good public course
I mostly play by myself they paired me with someone cause they thought it was werid that i was by myself, which was fine i got to meet a nice man who was older than me. The course is well kept and you can play this course with out someone who knows the course.
Great value
The course was in great shape. Starting to die off for winter but still great. The greens rolled nice. A good challenge for the average golfer
