Cape Neddick Country Club
About
Cape Neddick Country Club occupies a scenic stretch of rugged Maine coastline, just 45 minutes south of Portland and just over an hour north of Boston. The gentle start offered by the front nine is nicely balanced with the more challenging back nine. Be sure to build up your score on the player-friendly first half because greater accuracy will be required for the final stretch of the golf course. With plenty of variety among all of the holes, the layout will test your skill with different types of shots. There are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, providing tricky uphill and downhill lies. The contours are complemented by strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the challenging greens. Water hazards also come into play on several holes at Cape Neddick Country Club.

Cape Neddick Country Club Review.
I’m sure this course has a fair amount of visitors from out of town, due to its location to area landmarks. I have never found a course to find so many people extremely nice and accommodating. I was on vacation with my wife, and she does not golf, so I was golfing alone. The club paired me up with a member named Cindy, she was so nice and explained every hole on the course to me. I found the staff to be very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The course was in pristine condition, even with the amount of leaves that have fallen this time of the year in New England. So if your on vacation in southern Maine, I highly recommend this course if you have some extra time, you will not be disappointed!
The course is a fabulous place to play. They had just done there usual fall process to the the greens, didn't matter the course was still perfect to play.
Well kept course
I’ve had some of my best rounds of golf here. The layout is great and the greens are challenging and well kept.
Great deal
Fun stuff ! Great day , greens quick.
Will definitely play again & again!
Great older course. In wonderful condition. Very pleasant outing.
long par 5's
We played the white tees which are longer than the blue tees. Par 5's where very long. No.3 was almost 577 yards.
Great course but it was Day after the rain course soaked shouldn't been open person in the office was rude
Great conditions
Played here several times this year and always enjoy the round. Conditions this last round were fantastic with great fairways and spectacular greens. Architecturally the course is squeezed in to fit the landscape but doesn’t distract from your game. Cost is pricey but since it is a vacation Mecca they deserve the fare. Would tell my friends it is a must play course at least once!
Good experience
CNCC is a great combination of new and old course architecture. Course is well maintained and pace of play was less than the course recommendation by almost 1/2 hr. But course grounds crew hardly ever stopped as they went about their business as if nobody was playing golf. First place I've ever seen such behavior.
Nice older layout. Good putting greens and fun holes.
Played with a member, made the round a lot easier. Nice course, of course Donald Ross, always does a good track.
Loved it!
Always love this course, but especially in the fall!
Great value, friendly members, super condition
This was my 7th time here this year and my experience has been great every time. Every member I've come in contact with has been welcoming and friendly. I do use the GolfNow app (thank you CNCC for participating!) and I have always been treated as if I were paying full price. I consider CNCC my "Home course" although I am not a member...(yet?). I gave only 4 stars on pace of play for this round. (Others have been typical timing). The conditions are superb for late summer. The greens are lush and true, and very little burning out of the rough. Often times I've seen other courses stressed and hard this time of year. The Superintendent and his staff should be recognized for an outstanding looking/playing course. The staff of the pro shop have always been friendly, and the starter pleasant and accommodating. Looking forward to a few more rounds before the season ends.
Golf Now players ARE treated differently
I had a hot Deal as a single player and got to the course early. Man at the desk made a big issue of that and told me that since I paid such as low price for the round, I could not go out until my exact tee time. Turns out he is the Assistant Pro - Ryan. As I went outside, *I heard him call the starter on the radio. Even though there were groups going out of less than 4, starter told me that he could not send me out. He was apologetic but only worked there and had to do what he was told to do by the desk. I read a prior review that experienced a similar issue and the course replied that they treat all golfers the same no matter what price they paid.
I can tell you that's not true based on my experience.
Great course rate 5 out of 10 on challenging but plays long. Very enjoyable to play
Great venue great value
From the moment we arrived this gem of a course appealed to us. The 50/50 Donald Ross/Brian Silvia track is fun and challenging while retaining a classic New England quirkiness--so do pay attention to the course guide they give you. Welcoming members (thanks Al and Helen) and staff made it an entirely enjoyable visit. And if you want to grab lunch the tuna salad sandwich was outstanding.
Nice layout, bring your A game
Quick pace (3 hr 40 min), finishing holes saved my back nine score!
