Poor customer service at Goose crap Alley
If you enjoy poor customer service and fairways and greens full of goose crap this is the course for you. If you like a decent course and good customer service go somewhere else. This course is overpriced for condition
Disappointed
Well this review comes @ the same time as things open back up from the Cov-19 . But there is no excuse for the shape of this course . Boone county should be ashamed for the lack of maintenance on this course . Usually in good shape but not right now . Greens are decent but everything else is awful. The rough is so high . Some tee boxes look like the rough . The bunkers are unplayable . A real disappointment to what is usually a decent condition course. $47 w/ cart is over the top for what your getting. The county needs to get there Act together.
Boone Links
This is a championship golf course.
The course conditions are for the most part good. However the sand traps and bunkers are atrocious!
They need a lot of work to be even presentable.
Needs a little TLC.
Greens are great but that’s where it ends. The rough is rough and very spotty. Bunkers are a mess. Typical county course.... pay a lot get very little.
Tees Gone
Fairways, rough and greens are good but the tee boxes are a mess --- no grass on most of them and a few of the tee boxes aren't even open. A good number of the bunkers are not in shape. They should not be charging full price for the current conditions.
Great course/layout and I'll be back in the future but take a pass for the remainder of the Fall until conditions are brought back next Spring
Average course for a solid price !
Course is in good condition with a lot of variety.
Boone County, Sunday play
The course was in excellent condition, but the pace of play was horrendous. Took 5 hours and 15 minutes. We kept up with the group in front of us, and they seemed to be "in position". This needs to me monitored better by course management and they need to keep people moving, especially on weekend mornings, when you have more serious golfers out.
Solid Course - good deal
Good course, they have 3 different 9's - big greens and well kept - will play again
Great Greens
The overall condition of the course was good but the greens were excellent. For a public course the greens were outstanding. Had a great day, enjoyed playing a round of golf on such a beautiful day.
Boone links this spring
Greens are in great shape and soft with lots of grass, on the slow side. The rough is very penal tall juicy Kentucky blue grass. You actually have to walk over your all to find it in the rough, better keep it in the fair ways.
All in all a really good test of golf, enjoy!!
good course
Course in great shape, except greens were just airated. No water on course. Over all, a good day at boone.
Boone Links ---- a wonderful public course
Can't beat the experience and its only 15 minutes away. Well managed. Well kept.
great challenge
Course needed some love . Leaves everywhere lost many balls on fairway. Good challenge and nice layout wish it would have been tidied up a little.
Nice course but very rude staff
The course was in great condition specially for how dry things have been. The cart ladies and the staff that run the food and drink area were very nice but the starter, and office staff were very rude. They were not friendly at all and we (all eight of us) said that none of us will every play there again!
Probably last time I play here.
If you're a Golf Now user at this course, be ready to be treated a bit different.
As a single, I was paired up with another single. No problem with that. I was told I couldn't have my own cart even though I was paired with a lady and it was cart path only ( for certain people). This really slowed down the pace of play. Three groups behind us were two singles playing from individual carts. I'm sure they were not Golf Now users. This is the second time I've played here using Golf Now and each time it seemed like the guy working the counter (same guy each time) was not happy we were there.
If this course is going to treat Golf Now users like this, why do they participate?
Overall the experience will probably keep me from playing their again. The course was in pretty poor shape as well.
Quick Round
Friendly golf staff and good pace of play. Easy access to course with new road connecting Turfway.
course has some good holes
first time playing course, liked course but rained the day I`d played!! Will go back and play
Good Golf Course
It's been 13 years since I played this course. I don't know why it took so long to get back to this course but, it won't take another 13 to get me back. Overall condition of the course was very good. I love the variety of holes. Nice rolling terrain, a couple of elevated tee shots, just some great movement to the course. The greens were beautiful and healthy but, they were slow compared to my home course. I just couldn't get to the hole. Other than that, go play this course!
Very good 9 hour course
course is very well maintained and is challenging. One thing though the course person says that ridgewood is normally 15 at regular price
Challenging course
For some reason play was slow on the back 9. Wish other golfers would repair divots on the greens. played course a few times a year even tho far from home.
