Must Play
If you are looking for nice course to play this is it! Challenging but not overbearing no matter your skill level
Boone links
This is a good course that's very pretty. It's taken care I've well and the staff does a good job. My issue was pace of play we awful and the group behind me was constantly on my butt hitting in on me. I'd play it again in the off season or a weekday. Never agin on a weekend.
Scenic, Hilly, Northern KY Course
Was a little leery about playing Boone Links due to the 'iffy' reviews. Got a great deal on golf now so I played. No worries here. Great layout in real good condition. Super friendly staff and patrons. Joined with two teenagers playing a practice round on #10. I was impressed with these two young men. Very respectful and great poise, even on the few bad shots they hit. You do need some local knowledge as there are some blind shots. Also, no driving range. Beautiful day and great golf!!
Pleasantly Surprised!!
I was unsure about the course due to a few 'iffy' reviews, but no worries here. Great property, friendly staff and a course with really good conditions. Joined with two high schoolers playing a practice round. If these two young men are indicative of future golfers, the game is intact. Great manners, decorem, etc. Other than being Louisville fans, they were great -- go Big Blue!! Great Course!!!
Nice for July weather
#2 on Brookview can be tricky, know your distance
# 2 on Lakeview is long with an almost 90 dog leg
A beautiful day on Boone Links!
Landscaping would enhance the clubhouse for more inviting appeal
Very nice course.
Was a great night to play a round of golf on this well maintained course.
Perfect Round
BEAUTIFUL course! May be the best course in Northern KY!
This course has it's positives
Course was in good conditions but a lot of hillside lies
Straight and Narrow
Played at Ridgeview and as long as you can hit it straight (long or short) you will be in good shape.
Almost an executive type course and would recommend it to anyone playing.
Good course
I played on the Ridgeview golf course and it was excellent. I am a beginner at golf and I felt the course had a range of easy to moderate holes and difficult holes. These facility also has two other golf courses available to it and Ridgeview was by far the least busy. My only problem was no signage for any extra fees just in case you wanted to play more holes or have a ride-a-long as a partner. The person working that day was rude about having a ride-a-long person with me and I did not know there was an extra charge for that. (remember I am a new golfer) Other than that mishap, everything was fine. I only played 9 holes.
great shape
Coarse was in great shape softest greens in nky. Loved playing the coarse
Good course overall
Ridgeview is a good course overall, doesn't really compare to Brookview or Lakeview here at the facility but was in good shape when we played. I took my dad out for fathers day and everything worked out great minus some of the wait times, but that is to be expected due to the day.
Great course. Horrible Staff
Course played really nice, greens were soft and rolled well, thick rough which makes it a little more challenging than most of the other public courses in this area. No complaints with the course but the guy working in the proshop was an unbelievable dick. No reason for staff to make a customer feel that way, after all I was the one spending money to be there. Was very confused by his unfriendliness and will probably contact the course to complain about this gentleman. No problems once we made it on the course however.
Best Shape Ever
I have been playing this course since it opened as a private club in 1968. It has become one of the best well kept public courses I play in the Greater Cinti. area. Layout with woods and lakes and surrounding beautiful private homes. Very picturesque. Occasional plane traffic overhead, which I like. The greens and fairways were excellent, the roughs thick but not overly long, very well proportionate to what an excellent course should be. Some people complain about the roughs, well a golf course is supposed to assess somewhat a penalty when you go there. I believe it helps to better your game. If you are not serious about golf, then go where there is no rough to play. I played ridgeview and lakeview and they offer several tee locations and the newer cards are designed to encourage shorter hitters with a play it forward yardage. I played white which offers a true par challenge. Was paired with another single who brought his girlfriend to ride along for an additional $5. That is a very nice touch that the county offers. No public course is perfect but this is excellent overall. Food service and staff friendly, food good, beer cold. Pro shop well stocked with fair pricing. My suggestion for improvements would be to add additional sand in all bunkers, partial reseed some tee bare spots and add driving area to practice area. All were good but improvements can always be made. I paid $15 plus tax for this round which was an excellent price on golf now.
Cut your grass!
I thought we were playing in the U.S. Open. The rough was ridiculously long and thick. It made for horrible playing conditions - absolutely horrible.
Enjoyable and Great Views
This course can be mid-length (5400-6700 yds) to long, with four tee boxes. It has challenges in trees, ponds and lakes, but makes a beautiful journey. There are 27 holes of play. The Brookview and Lakeview are used for playing 18's, while the Ridgeview is hillier and used for playing 9 holes. I would recommend this course for everyone.
Nice layout with some interesting features
My daughter and I really enjoyed our round at Boone Links...while it is rather Open ...it still requires you to be pretty accurate with your shot placements.....this course plays long and a Great tee shot will reap nice rewards. We got a really good deal through Golf Now and that made it even better!
One of my favorites
Boone Links is one of my favorite courses. Obviously, this time of year (November), course conditions were a little disappointing, but I don't fault the course for that. Lots of leaves and standing water. (A major storm came through the day before)
I wasn't happy, however, with the fact that even though there was virtually no one else on the course they forced a pairing up with someone else. He turned out to be a great partner, but that's beside the point.
Regardless, still one of my favorites in the area.
Love this coarse
I've been playing at Boone Links for over 10 years now. Absolutely love the layout. Par 5's are challenging. The greens are in excellent condition. We played from the white tees and it still played long. This coarse also has 9 holes in the back that allows kids play for free. I would absolutely recommend this to any skilled golfer.
Boone Links
A group of us played 18 at boone links today and the course was in good shape with the exception of a few tee boxes. A few white tees were really beat up and in need of work. The fairways and greens were very good. If you have a child under the age of 16, try Boone's 9 holes with a cart for only $15.00 on any day and your junior plays for FREE on the Ridgeview course! Now that's a deal...
