All was great. The only major problem is that GolfNow did not instruct members of GolfNow how to get to the golf course. This course is on Ft. Campbell Military Base and the only way to get on is to go to the security gate 7 to get a pass onto base. GolfNow needs to place these instructions onto the site when reserving.
Excellent Course and Value
Had a great time. Course is in great condition. Great pace of play.
This was a great challenge, well maintained,
This was one of the nicest I've played. Well laid out , very well maintained in every way. It's an hr drive from my house, however this will be a 2 or 3 times a month course. The directions they give are terrible. It's really easy to find if you know what to do. Go to gate 4, get a base pass, this takes 5 min. Well worth the 5.
Lots of better places to play
This place is overpriced, under kept, and has the worst staff of any place. This is the only public course in Hopkinsville so they know if you are trying to squeeze a round in and you live here, that you really have no other options. Therefore, they aren't the friendliest people and they really only want the regulars they know personally to be there. Even if it has rained the day before, the driving range floods so badly that it is not available for days. I would avoid going here if you would like to have a decent, peaceful day of golf, it is a rare occasion you can do that at this course.
A Course that has fixed itself.
1st played here in 2016. Twas rough. Since then, greens have better pace [even pace], not as fast as they look or break that they would. Fixed up the fringe and cut the fairway better. Strait forward layout, lots of tree hazards, only 1 water hazard. Plenty of green and fairway bunkers (new sand....the super shiny ''moon'' dust stuff.
Driving Range, putting only green, and a chipping green (no sand).
A pro shop that offers lessons, clothing, clubs, etc.... also a club house and eatery for a turn around from 9th to 10th whole, or as a 19th hole marker.
Need new staff
I have played several rounds of golf at this course mainly for it’s convenience. I live like 5 mins around the corner. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have gone to this course I have had something negative or extremely rude said to me. I have been chewed out by the lady because myself and my buddies had our carts back at 3:58 pm and the lady flat out scolded and chewed us out because they close at 4 pm for god knows what reason. The pro that works there named Dave has come out on three separate occasions to get on me and my teams case about nonsense. Then when he realized he was wrong, finally left but still made it awkward for us. By the way, what kind of golf course closes at 4 pm? How lame to have such hours of operation. In Korea in Camp Humphreys they open at like 6 am and don’t close till the sun goes down at like 8 pm. Cole Park is a decent course, nice greens, nice tee boxes and an ok pro shop. The staff just sucks. Oh, and I have not see the concession stand that serves food open even once yet. I have been to this place at least ten times in the last year and not once seen food or beverages available. All in all I will never go back here again. I’ll make the drive to Western Hills or Eastland Green or Swan lake. I suggest you do the same.
Experience’s
Dave the golf pro’ has a horrible attitude with his customers. The MWR over there is a joke they treat the people horrible.
Always in great condition.
This Army post course has always been well maintained. The greens are great. It’s a well kept secret. One of my favorites to golf.
Awesome staff
Dave is the golf pro there and the dude is awesome, he will help you anyway he can. The rest of the staff are friendly and if they don't have the answer they'll find out for you. There's alot allot of deer so the greens get chewed up sometimes, but you always see the staff working on the greens and bunkers. It's a challenging course with lots of trees but compared to the other 3 military golf courses I've played at this one is the best. It's open to the public not just military, just please for the love of God and golf don't take 10 mins to read a putt if someone is behind you
Cole Park, Good Value
Not an overly hard course, but offers enough challenging holes vs easy holes. Not much water or fairway bunkers. There are hills. Course conditions are good in May-October. Bermuda fairways are great in the summer; bent grass greens are very good year round. Fairways and rough suffer in the cooler months. Layout is fair and offers decent mix of tree-lined holes with mostly wide landing areas - reachable par 5s, moderate par 4s and a good mix of par 3s (120 - 210 yards). Greens and bunkers redone in last 5 years. Overall, a round at Cole Park will not be a lifetime memory, but rounds at Cole Park are good fun and decent tests of your game. Go low!
great golf
Played over 50 rounds here course is always ready to play well maintained Rewards good shot but doesn't over penalize you for a poor shot. Nice staff. good pro shop relaxed enviroment
The golf pro’ guy name Dave has and attitude problem with the customers. They have a horrible management system in that gf course.
