Fun day
Course in good shape but a couple of greens had bad spots
a fun place to play
course was in great shape for this time of the year the fairway was coming out good greens was in great shape the grass around the greens was like carpet your ball sit up nice unlike the goat ranch I belong to wish I lived closer to play it more often
It's the Gold at Fort Knox!
You must play the Lindsey course at Fort Knox soon! Was there yesterday and was blown away by class and challenges of course. Golfer who understands course conquering strategic play will be giddy! "Longball Saul's" will be looking for them all day. Hole number 2 is right next to the fence of the gold bullion Fort itself ⛳😉! Keep your shot to the right m/or just wave and give up your ball because you WON'T BE GETTING IT BACK😭😉😁⛳💯.
The greens require a very good eye and above average putt pace execution (Yo Reggie!!! 👍🏾⛳👀😉). Hole placement is fair, with the four quadrants used plus greens undulations there are no ho-hum holes.
Great iron/short game play will be necessary, and not an option! Yesterday was my first time there and I admit that my ess has been missing out!
It reminds me of Glen Oaks CC in Louisville, KY, without the housing community surroundings. Plus the weekend price is more affordable than half of the courses you currently play.
Eastern Time
The greens were being rolled while I played so I got the first seven slow and the last 11 good speed. Tee boxes were a bit shaggy. Loved the par 3s. 9th hole was a beast. All right next to the depository. Cool experience.
Decent track
The course was in pretty good shape. Good looking fairways and greens, and a nice layout. Only real downside was how slow the greens were rolling.
The course was scenic and had interesting features
The diagrams on the scorecard did not designate creeks and lake edges which would have been extremely helpful.
Lindsey Golf Course
Course is in good shape. The length of par 4’s and 3’s were a little long from the whites. Visitors should allow 15 minutes to get a military visitor’s pass. Golf Now should double check the local time. They are on EDT not CDT as listed on one info page. I would have been an hour late. Thank you.
Good Value
It is on the Army base so you have to get a visitor’s pass before you can enter the main gate. Just takes a few minutes. Otherwise very nice course in great condition.
worth the trip
the course is on Fort Knox Army base it's a great course great greens fairway and rough was mowed good a good course for the money the only bad thing is you got to get there early to go to the welcome center to get on the base it didn't take long well worth the trip
Decent Military Course with Several Blind Shots
I was visiting in the area and decided to play here after reading a few reviews. It’s a decent military course. The fairways were a little burned, and the some of the tee boxes were a little long. The fairway were firm, rolling and sloped. There were several blind tee shots and 2 shots on par 5s. Nothing that can’t be managed. I just think on a busy day, might have a couple of incoming balls if you don’t position your cart so the group behind you knows you are there. The greens rolled pretty true with not very much break. They have 2 200+ par 3s that are tough. I enjoyed the round and would play again it I were in the area.
REAL GEM!!!
The Lindsey Golf Course on the Fort Knox compound is a WONDERFUL opportunity. The layout has enough sand to make you nervous, enough water to make you concentrate, and enough trees to make your group pay attention. What it does NOT have is a lot of underbrush in the tree lines, weeds on the challenging greens, and an over abundance of rolling hills. Staff is friendly and carts are clean and in good shape. Well worth the 40 minute drive from Louisville.
