SLOW
The course is in excellent condition except cart paths are a bit rough. It was WINDY as it usually is. The round took us 5 1/2 hours to complete. Very slow pace, though we still had a good time.
Challenging Course
Lots of elevation changes to greens. Greens are sloped and tough to read. Enjoyed the challenge.
Nice course, pace of play needs to be better.
Overall a nice course, good layout. Cartpaths are *rough*. The course needs to do a better job at overseeing pace of play. There’s no reason why a twosome should be holding up a single player hole after hole like they’re playing PGA rules.
Good course
I was skeptical about playing this course because people were telling me it went down hill. It was far from down hill.
Golf now app
I paid for my tee time on golf now, then when I arrived at the course I had to pay again. Wires are crossed somewhere.
Great time
Although the weather was a little rainy and windy at first the course has really good drainage and my play was not affected. Staff was grounded and accommodating. I highly suggest this course and the manager Dave Peru goes out of his way to assure everything goes smoothly and that everyone who’s their decision to play golf at the course of Kenton Country.
One of the better public courses for sub 20 handicaps in the tristate
Course is in great shape, the greens are coming in nicely, still a little under pace but not bad. As a scratch golfer I find this to be one of the better tests of my game and decent condition course in the area. Uneven fairway lies, really uneven off fairway lies but a fair course if you're hitting the ball well.
The rough has made gradual progress out of dormancy the past three weeks or so, but it's not penal yet. So the course is playing slightly easier than it does when we get a little warmer in the area.
This is one of the more challenging courses in the area with a lot of shots into uphill and some downhill greens. If you're not a good striker of the ball I would suggest one teebox forward from what you thought you should play. The back is a bear, but a great test of skill for lower handicaps.
Tough course good conditions
Incredibly windy day made for a demoralizing round. Course was in good shape. Greens rolled well. Just an overall tough course.
