Entire course was in excellent condition!
Greens were firm and fast
Bunkers were full of sand and well groomed
Fairways, rough, and tee boxes were in great shape
The ONLY recommendation is to have a beverage cart. On the LONG back nine of Willows, we were thirsty

It's a toxic relationship that I keep coming back to because I love the challenge. As far as public courses in the tri-state are concerned this is one of the better courses in the area. On a Wednesday the pace was great. Greens are fast, fairways are in great shape, tee boxes are cut, the rough is fair. The front nine is easier than the back. You can walk the front and play well. The back is as tough and challenging as any course can be. It's also hard to walk unless you're in great shape. I've worked as an assistant pro at several higher end well-known courses on the east coast and the back at willows is as challenging as any of those. But for course conditions I (expletive) love this course. In traditional form for the rolling hills courses in the tri-state you must be below the hole.

One suggestion, It's summertime, gotta get a beverage cart out there starting in the morning on the regular. It's too hot, especially on the back, to not have drinks available. Some of the people playing look like they're one foot in the casket one foot on the banana peel old.

The course is headed in the right direction. Cart paths still need some work. Looks like they removed quite a few trees that opens things up. Rough was very penal and you really had to hack it out. Greens were in really good shape.

Overall experience was good, but riding in a cart was rough. The cart paths are in dire need of repair. Knowing this is expensive to do, it would make a great improvement. Some of the rough around the greens seemed very thick and hard to play.

The course was in really good shape. They have taken down a lot of necessary trees. The fairways and greens were also in great shape. Cart paths need some love but I’m sure it’s on the list.

Willows is hillier than most courses, so there aren’t a lot of flat lies. But the course is in good shape, especially the greens. They were perfectly smooth, and faster than average. It’s obvious they’ve put a lot of effort into the course. I will definitely be back.

Nice course, well maintained, located on the same property as The Pioneer. I liked The Willows better in terms of layout and views. Will play again

Great course. .Greens were fast, needed a little repair, but it is early in the season. Fairways were in great shape, friendly staff and great burgers! The only downside with the course is the cart path. It was in need of repair throughout the 18 holes.

I played well the first time playing here. I’m not a pro but I shot my best of 89 in this course while I was walking. If you want a good exercise and nice views from tee box this is the course

This course was in great shape for being mid-late January and also having many trees removed a bug issue. The greens had been recently sanded and were a touch slow, but all in all in great shape. I cannot wait to come back and play this again later this spring. This will be a BEAST!

Offers a challenge while also having enough space for small errors. Love the greens, most everyone fixes their divots and scrapes the bunkers. Tends to be crowded but averages 2 hrs per 9 holes. Wish I shot better but that’s on me lol

Nice course, can be challenging at times. Nice conditions when I was there. Probably prefer pioneer (other course on property) but I enjoy this course as well.
