Fox Run at Golf Courses at Kenton County, The

Terrible conditions,cart paths are horrible,no refreshments,they put all there money into. New parking lot, should just close the whole 3 c ourselves,should be free to play, carts were really dirty.

This course was one of the best in Kentucky a few years ago. Today the course condition was less than perfect. Heat had a small part in the conditions, but fairways need work, and some attention. The greens are down from past rounds. Hopefully, it will come back to its past glory.

Pace of play was good. No one playing. Narrow fairways, terrible bunkers, long rough, slow greens, some infested with Cicada Killers and no concessions or drinks in one of the hottest summers in a while. Lack of maintenance seems intentional. All three courses are in their worst shape ever. All the money has been going into a ridiculous parking lot and future subdivision community center (pro shop).

This course could easily be great if they take care of the two issues listed in the title

Brown spots on the green made putting difficult.

On at least 5 greens there were swarms of ground hornets, causing us to not finish out this holes.

Played in a light rain most of the day but still had a good time. Some of the fairways held to much water but overall it was playable.

the fairways are still uneven some brown some green. the greens were in good condition. Still needs alot of work the 18th hole is hard packed mud for the first hundred or so yards. They redid the parking lot wich seems like a waste when the corses need much more attention than the lot. Like the courses here and hope for further improvement on all

THIS PLACE CHARGES ENOUGH TO GIVE THE PUBLIC A WELL MAINTAINED GOLF COURSE. THE FAIRWAYS MOSTLY BURNED UP AND THE GREENS AREN'T MUCH BETTER. THE BIGGEST COMPLAINT I HAVE ARE WITH THE BUNKERS. WEEDS ARE GROWING IN THEM AND NO TOP COVERING OF SAND IN THE BUNKERS I NEVER WANT TO PLAY THIS POS EVERY AGAIN. COURSE EMPLOYEE TOLD ME THEY HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE WATERING SYSTEM WORKING BUT THEY HAVE GOTTEN A MILLION DOLLAR APPROVAL TO MAKE THE BUNKER BETTER. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS WHY WOULD THIS PLACE SPEND MONEY ON THE PARKING LOT BEFORE GETTING FUNDING FOR THE GOLF COURSE. OUTRAGED!!

For $22 riding 18 holes, you go to the course expecting nothing great. However, this course was in great shape. Fairways and greens cut tight.

Great pace. The only thing I had to compression about read the condition of the bunkers. They could use a complete overhaul however there isn't much sand on the course.

Fox Run closes its beverage and food kiosk on the course with no beverage cart available on a 90 degree day. That just SUCKS!!!

1st time playing Fox Run in several years. Not near the amazing course it used to be (shape wise...it used to be one of the primo courses in N KY, but not taken care of near as well nowdays), but still a great golf course to play.

Tee boxes, greens and fairways were in good condition. However, they must think they will host a U.S. Open soon with the way the rough has grown up.

Staff inside was very unfriendly the bunkers are dirt and rock it's great layout and has potential just needs better upkeep.

I really used to like this course but it's conditioning is being ignored. Sand traps were 80% unraked. Many areas no longer cut at all like between the sandtraps and greens over 1' high. Trees framing holes not being cut back leaving very restricted views of the hole. It's looking like they plan to close this course and go with just the Willows and Pioneer, because other people I talk to say these 2 are still being taken care of.

I know that this course has had some issues. Two years ago it had some disease in the fairways and greens. Last year it looked like it had made a recovery. This year it looks as the recovery slowed. Fairways were still difficult to play from. Greens were smooth, and were in decent shape. There are a lot of spots on the course that needed some attention with a mower. 4th hole was unplayable if you weren't on the green. However, for $24 it was still worth it.

Played in the rain, kind of ruined our day. But all was good just to get out and play a real nice course We will be going back soon, maybe play a different 18.
