Nice course
We only played 9 holes because we got rained out but it seemed like a nice course given better weather! Definitely going back on a better weather day and playing all 18 for sure
Still in great shape
Course fairways and rough is still very plush compared to most courses in the area. I was pleasantly surprised that with all of the hard ground locally that the ball didn’t just fly off the course when it hit the ground. The rough held every ball when it rolled in that direction. Fairways, when I got them also held the ball very nicely and it was great hiring of both surfaces. The leaves weren’t as much of a problem that I expected either, they have done a gods job of maintaining the course through the year. Highly recommend this course.
Nice improvements
Last time I played greens where rough and fairways not the greatest. But both were in awesome shape.
Kenton County Pioneer Course
My first time here. Arrived early and checked in. Did some warm up swings and some putting on the practice green. My cart was near the starter and he asked what time my tee time was. Told him it was in 20 mins, but he pointed out there was no one waiting so told me to go ahead. I was going solo so went ahead.
Course looks to be in terrific shape. Greens were great! Seems most golfers here know to fix ball marks! A few courses north of Cincinnati, not so much. These greens were great!
Found it interesting that a few other folks , in their reviews, said it would be easy to walk. Not so much. Several changes in elevation and several fairways with left-to-right or right-to-left slopes, pretty extreme. Would be a challenge walking, but not impossible.
Overall, one of the nicer courses I’ve plaid in the area. Will definitely come back, even though it’s about a 50 minute drive.
Great course! A must go.
Played the Pioneer course on a Monday with a 12:30 tee time and had a great time. The course was very well maintained and the staff was very friendly. Even had a couple gals behind me and my buddy who caught up to us due to the slower group in front of us and they encouraged us and laughed with us during our tee shots. Overall amazing golf course and will be coming here on a weekly basis. 10/10
Pioneer
The course was in very good shape and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got behind inconsiderate slow playing groups on both 9's which made the pace of play very slow. 5 1/2 hours to play the round.
Playing an Oldie but a Goodie
Course was in a good shape and play was paced excellently.
Great course
In years past the course may not have been in as good shape and for the cost, we rarely golfed there. We have been here a couple of times this year and the improvements are very noticeable!!! Beautifully cared for these days!!!
Return
Not having played Pioneer in quite some time, the greens and traps looked really good. The fairways were in good shape also. The cart paths could use an upgrade but I understand the cost factor .
