Big Blue can make you blue
I live in Louisville, this course is better than any public course here in town. In my opinion it's worth the hour drive. The first 6 holes aren't very demanding. Starting with 7 you better bring your "a" game. The course is visually intimidating but there is ample room to play. This was my first time playing Big Blue, I want to go back, I feel that subsequent rounds the golfer will know where to hit the ball and how far to hit it. My only gripe was distinguishing where the flag was on the green. Some shots you were hitting up to the green, others you couldn't tell how deep the green was.
Beautiful course
Big Blue is in incredible condition. Fairways and greens are immaculate. Very fun course to play.
slow starter
It was an enjoyable round on "Big Blue". The first 6 holes are ho-hum but from 7 on it turns into a good test. #8 is an island green and we played into a two club wind ( the wind never stopped the whole week we were in Kentucky).it's a course if you play it a few times you will know where to hit shots to avoid bunkers and ponds. Over all it was a good day.
