Awesome staff
Hoped to play Big Blue but it was closed due to an event. Played Wildcat instead. Not in the best of shape due to rain and being early spring but a challenging layout nonetheless. Golf course staff was super accommodating. Very nice from the time we arrived until the time we left. Even worked with us on our tee times the next day. Definitely coming back to play Big Blue when it’s hot and sunny.
Time will tell
Course is wellset up with multiple tee box's (4) which allows more enjoyment for each level of golfers skill. Greens for the most part are in good shape...some rough spots in many fairways. It's a wait see on if course can look great in 2 to 3 months.
Wildcat was fun.
Had a great time today on wildcat. Course was in really good shape. Definitely would love to go back.
Fun course but a little overpriced
As title states. I know it’s becoming the end of season where things are dry. But the greens were in pretty bad shape along with being rock hard. Fairways and rough with lots of patchy dead grass. $40 or under I would play again.
Trending back up
For years it seems wildcat was an after thought to Blue. However, it seems that more care has gone into this side of the property recently and it shows. It’s starting to look like it did 10 years ago again, if not better.
Wildcat is wild
Ball placement is key off the tee and most definitely on the green! Course is not long, but the greens are it's defense, fast and undulating greens. Great place to play
Wait for Fairways to Come Back
Have played here before and all was good then but not now. Almost all fairways totally gone/being redone. They definitely should have alerted us to that when booking. Poor communication on that front. Greens were great and rough/tees were fine as well but a course with no fairways is an unexpected bummer.
Wildcat Course in rough shape
Played 18 on the wildcat course on 9/15/22. We got a “hot deal” which made it only $23 or so for 18 and a cart which is the only reason I’ve provided as many stars as I did. Clubhouse is dated, but ok. Staff didn’t leave an impression, bartender was helpful.
The course was in really poor shape. The greens were fine but the “fairways” were bad. I put fairways in quotes because, honestly, you’d be in better position to hit from the first cut of the rough. Most of the fairways were bare or weeds. A brand new ball could be pured down the middle and when you get to it you have to improve your lie because it’s covered in mud and below the surrounding weeds. The rough was ok, but a lot of Bermuda grass that would hide your ball for one, and grab your club in the swing on the off chance you could actually find it. Mowing must be done when it’s exceptionally high as well because there is lots of obvious dead grass from mowing around. Greens were in decent shape and played fast. Tee boxes were fine as well.
Pace of play was great. Our twosome never had to wait and no one was ever waiting on us. This is to be expected though for a 12:45 tee time in the middle of the week.
No beverage carts, but as I said the bartender was good at the turn.
If I had paid full price I would have been disgusted with the course conditions but at $23 all-in, it was “ok.”
