Glenmary Country Club

Glenmarry is one of the best values in the Louisville area. The course is always in good shape, although not pristine, and it is challenging for all level golfers. The real benefit of Glenmarry though is that you can play 18 with a cart for less than almost every course open to the public in the area, and much less than every other course of it's caliber in the area.

Loved the course, shot best round ever. Some bunkers need work along with cart paths. Good value.

Be prepared to lose your balls in the trees or even houses located so close to the course. This was my first experience driving in between houses to get to the next hole. Some of the cart paths could use some work but overall, I enjoyed this course.

Glenmary will test your accuracy lined left and right by houses. It has some challenging holes and some holes that are definite birdie opprotunities.

The course was a bit wet from either the rain or being watered down which made it hard for me, but the course was very nice.
Golfers need to be straight off the tee on many hole, but this help frame my mind to start using other clubs in the bag, which was going and it helped me hit more fairways.

Despite a lot of negativity in other reviews, I thought this course was pretty darn good. On Father's Day our threesome was able to finish in just under four hours. The greens were in good shape and the fairways were all green and played well/fair. And hey, the brewed tea in the clubhouse was quite good.

I'll be back to Glenmary.

Glenmary is two very different 9 hole courses. The front has some great holes, taking advantage of elevation changes and natural conditions. The back feels like a neighborhood course with homes lining each tee, fairway and green.
Greens and fairways were in ok shape, cart paths are awful....concrete has degraded in many areas, needed lots of attention. Same comment for many of the bunkers. Raked rocks and dirt. Tee boxes were inconsistent.
$25 on a Friday afternoon is a good deal but wouldn't offer much more than that.

This course is a unique course because it bends through the glenmary neighborhood yet all holes are different and challenging. The staff was great and very helpful and is a course I will visit again soon!!

I love the layout. A few holes on front a little Mickey Mouse but playable. From black tees there are some monster par 4's. Greens a bit slow. Great special pricing in afternoon. Worth the trip. Better value then any of the Metro Parks in Louisville.

Everything from over water and streams to 80' drop-off from the Tee box. Nicely wooded; very scenic.

It's a $20 course that charges $32. Lays out really well, could be nice just needs work. 5/28/2013

An overall enjoyable experience, moderately dofficult course for a weekend golfer. The course was in good shape overall, however the cart paths are in very poor condition and need repaved. Also, I did not see any bathrooms on the course which was kind of a pain. Would like to see them add one midway on the front and back. If you arent hitting it straight you will be playing in backyards, as homes are tightly against the course. Pace was nice until a rude 3some kept spending all day looking for balls and didnt let people play thru. So it created a logjam on the back nine. Can't beat the value of a $25 weekend round though, I will return.

Love playing the course, many challenges to help improve your game. Houses along many fairways so straight shots are a must. Have played the course about 7 times now and will be back many more. Hole #6 is the favorite of our group. Yardage markers are not easy to find at all times, so if you don't see any above ground markers, look in the middle of the fairways for concrete markers buried even with the ground.

Aside from the traps and some cart paths, I enjoyed my round.
The course is really starting to improve fairways had good coverage, greens were fairly quick and sometimes hard to read.
Kudos to the owners hope it continues to improve!

Fairways was great, there was 2 holes on the front that needs a little work, but with the rain and golfers not respecting the course what you expect. I loved this course. You miss the fairway and the rough is challenging. Hit the fairways and you can score. Easier said then done though. Will definately be back again. Great Course all the way around.

I have played this course many times in the past few years. Never seen it in worse shape. Fairways hardly had grass. Greens had dead patches. I was very disappointed in its condition compared to previous years that I have played.
