Aeriated
Course would have been better but for aeriation & wet conditions. Pace of play good for week-end. Need better yardage markings on path if going to have path only.
Great value
Interesting course layout. Condition leaves something to be desired but played early in the season.
Would definitely play this course again
Enjoyable but a couple of surprises.
The course condition was very good considering the time of year and all the cold weather we've had. I hooked up with 3 guys on the back nine and they played fast. Affected my play just a little, but still very enjoyable.
Polo Fields
every thing is good such as weather, fairway and green...
Cart path only
Early spring following hard winter, cart path only. Considering this was the first weekend decent enough to play the course was in good shape. I look forward to playing later in the spring or summer.
great character
not a long course from white or blue but has plenty of challenges with narrow fairways fast undulating greens.
Always a great course to play.
Polo Fields was a private club till GolfNow opened the door.
Great value during the week and after 1:00 on weekends. Good pace of play, friendly staff and well maintained course. Be sure to bring a credit card as they don't take cash for anything.
The greens are fast!
I enjoy playing this course. The greens are fast and true with great practice facilities. Playing from the blues, I rarely pulled driver as accuracy is critical to score.
Great Lay out need some attention
The tee boxes need attention. Majority of them needed to either be closed usin alternative site to allow repair to be done.
stressed course
This was the first time playing this course, so I can say the course is a little goofy to me. There many holes where you have to lay up with a Iron off the tee, and many holes you can't hit driver period. This course runs through a neighborhood, and you will find this course pretty tight. It might be one of the tightest I have played in a housing development.
On my visit they had cart path only because they were scared to hurt their fairways. The greens are pretty stressed and I think they are putting too much water on everything. This will only promote more disease. I had mudballs all day and it was 90 degrees. This course is right on the edge, and I think due to overwatering they will go downhill.
Good Moderate Length Tight Target Golf with Blind Tee Shots
Good Moderate Length Target Golf with a number of Blind Tee Shots and Lay-up holes. Driver does not get used a lot. Tough to play course for the first time as you are not comfortable on the tee box. Not a bad course after you play it several times, but you have to be a straight shooter. Not a good course for wild hitters.
The course is tight and requires solid iron play. Those who say it is short aren't playing the tips.
Very good course for the bucks. You onlyneed driver on four holes. tight fairways with out of bounds everywhere and sloping greens make this a tough place to score low.
Country club feel
I had played here long ago in an outing, I forgot how nice Polo was. The fairways were great and the greens were speedy but true. The pace of play was dreadful but it was such a nice experience that it was tolerated.
potential
Course was very wet, and I don't think it was because of rain. Greens need some attention but other than that, good and very short track
great greens
great day, good people.course is in great shape. Cant wait to play it again
Leave Driver in the Bag
Polo Fields is a decent lil members only track, with times for sale online. If you can get lucky and get a good price it's worth it to play once. The tee boxes are a bit out of level, the fairways are in above average condition, and the greens are usually really good. Being private, pace of play is never really an issue, which is nice. The players out there who like to play bomb & gouge golf(myself included) I would look elsewhere. If you can move it out there 300+, you will be pulling driver maybe 4-5 times the entire round. More of a target golf course with emphasis on accuracy.
Excellent
Course was in excellent condition .
Everyone enjoyed the round
fun course and difficult well maintained
good well maintained free tea and orange in club house
Great course for $28 we paid.
The course was in good shape. Fairways had a few dead spots but this is July has to be expected. The greens need some work, there are Too many ball marks that haven't been repaired. This is what looks like a very nice country club, makes me wonder if the members don't care about the greens. Course is tight but short, if you can find the short grass it plays fairly easy. Will play again.
Very Sweet Course!
This course was in pristine condition. The greens were fast and true. The fairways were beautiful. I compare this course to Heritage Hill, but I think this course is a little better. I really liked the layout of this course it was challenging, but fair. You are rewarded for good shots. Water comes into play on quite a few of the holes. Also there are a few holes that are really tight in the fairways.
