Polo Fields Golf & Country Club, The

I always look forward to my rounds at the Polo Fields. This was my fifth time playing it this season. It is well-kept, great layout, fun-yet challenging. As long as Golf Now keeps offering a way to play this course I'll keep playing it.

Course is in good shape. Day after a storm left it a little wet. A few balls plugged in the fairway, along with picking up some mud. Greens are in great shape. I went to make the turn and pro shop was sending groups off the back because of a member event. I was a little miffed, however the staff came out, apologized, and asked if I wanted to replay the front to finish quicker. Impressive service from a private club to a non-member.

This is a beautiful course! Absolute must in the Louisville, KY area!

For the money, this is a great course. Mostly straight forward as far as the course goes, but a few elevation changes that make things interesting.

Overall I enjoyed the experience. The fairways are in great shape and the rough is chalenging but fair.

Actually played the afternoon of the KGA event at the course. Loved the course layout. Fairways and greens were great. It does get a little tight in spots.

This course is very fun and lends itself to low scores. Dont be scared to play from black tees

This formerly private and exclusive Country Club course did not disappoint. Perfect tee boxes along with well manicured fairways and rough make this course well worth the money to play. The course isnt particularly long but the narrow fairways, small greens and strategically placed hazards of all types require precision shotmaking to negotiate this gem with success. The course is well marked and demands that you place the ball perfectly in order to have any success at all. The deep rough will punish you for taking risks and each hole has its own personality. Do not get complacent when playing this one. Tons of character and elevation contribute to the aesthetic value of the Polo Fields.
DO NOT miss an opportunity to play one of Louisvilles finest courses. My review is slightly less than 5 stars because the fiarways were thin in some places and the greens have been recently aerated and not top dressed quite enough. Overall playing experience was 5 star and can not wait to play again.

I have player this course in March and, it was in better shape then.
The rough was to long, if you were off the fairway you had hard time finding your ball. The greens were in average conditions and expected a lot more.

This course had some maintainance/money difficulties in the past but new ownership seems to be spending on improvements. Alot of fun, interesting hole. Some par 4's where you can't hit driver off the tee. Will be playing there again.

Played in late March and it's been real wet but course was good condition considering the weather. Some tight holes but all in all a good lay out. Greens where a little slow but I would imagine they are dificult in in summer condictions. Some greens aren't real flat. Staff was super nice!!!! Will go back again.

I really wanna give a compliment to Adam, he works in the pro shop. He was very nice, energetic & knowledgeable. He also made you feel like you were at home. But over all the I really enjoyed my round. There's only one complaint, there were not enough range balls. But I really can't complain when they are included with a round of golf.

don't buy any refreshments.They don't except cash and everything is country club priced example a gatorade was $4.00 for a regular size bottle double what it was worth.

Played in the cold winter. Greens still soft and fairways in great shape. Thanks for a fun round.

course dictates that you use almost every club in the bag.

Polo fields is a nice course to play .It is a tight course ,and it has close course for out of bounce.

Short,but fair well kept, but VERY narrow must be straight.
