Nice Sunday afternoon
Course was on good shape, and there were no back ups during round. Over all very good experience. Played in just under 4 hrs. Greens were a little on the slow side, but otherwise good.
5 hour 15 minute round
Course in very good condition. Greens especially nice. Normally my wife and I play 3-1/2 to 4 hour rounds, but we had to wait on almost every shot beginning on 2nd hole. We skipped holes and went back on played the last 3 holes of the front nine again in order to get in 18. Otherwise, it would have been 5-1/2 to 6 hour round. When we mentioned to golf shop attendant at the turn (Jerry, I believe), he just shrugged his shoulders. Second time I've played here this year and pace of play has been terrible both times. Ranger needed badly.
Good condition, great greens
Overall, course is in great shape. Played from the tips and felt challenged on most every hole. Locker room needs improvement, like maybe a bench and "lockers". Would play again for the twilight price. Hard to beat it with golf now discount.
Father's Day outing
Had a great time with my son. Lots of blind shots.. Greens were in great shape.
Need to have drinking water placed on course or have a drink cart come around
Good Course
Very well maintained course with a full bar and restaurant. Well def play again here soon!
disappointed in KY
Not what was expected based on previous reviews. Impossible to find the ball outside of the fairway. Staff was not informative.
Hugh improvement
Played this course several years ago and the improvements were amazing. There were no houses and the only familiar feature was the mobile home park at the number 10 green vicinity. This course is a 1 hour drive from our home area but we intend to return several times during the season. For those looking for a "package" the accomodations appear to be reasonably new and maintained. Our only disappointment was the lack of a full service snack bar. Staff was extremely friendly.
Duckers Lake GC
It was a good course in good shape. The value for the money was excellent. I will probably play here a couple times a year.
Good course
Course is constantly being improved. Enjoyed the round.
Challenging course at a fari price
The staff at Ducker's are always very friendly and accommodating. Kerry F is fantastic to work with. He also is an excellent instructor. Course is in better shape than last year. Ducker's is a moderately hilly course and you will score better if you focus on placing your shot rather than always going for distance. Course is often crowded, but the pace of play moves along. Good value for the money and the grill is a good place to get a salad or sandwich.
Great course
Course was in great condition great times I'll be back and would recommend others to play here
Overbooked and Over Challanged
Seems like Ducker's has gotten into the habit of overbooking tee times. I finally teed off 20 minutes after my scheduled tee time, and that was only after joining the two-some in front of us. We played the whole round catching up to the two-some in front of them, who were backed up due to a foursome. There really isn't any opportunities to play through and with the blind shots and areas of woods to have to hunt, we did inadvertently hit into the group in front if us twice not realizing they hadn't hit their 2nd shots yet.
Duckers is a very challanging course on a good day and plays more like a links course...ie the Driver isnt always what you want to hit off the tee. The fairways and greens were hard and fast, which didn't make play any easier. All the greens are sloped with very challenging pin locations...almost too challanging given the slope and speed of the greens. All those things combine for a VERY Challanging day.
Still a good day of golf and a good value if you are booking for less than $27. For $27 you can play Juniper Hill which isa more traditional and forgiving course and in much better shape, but is much less challenging.
Ducker's golf
I really enjoyed playing this course. Excellent greens, great fairways, and the staff is very friendly. All around a good time!
great little layout
course is short but demanding, shot makers course, some greens are difficult,if you are above the hole you will 3 putt!!
home away from home
It just dominates.. I've been playing here for years, and have never had a bad experience. The staff is super cool, and down to earth. The course is just difficult enough to be fun, and nestled in a small golf community. Honestly, I could go on and on about this place, it just rocks.
Good course but better options in the area for money
This is a really nice course and they do take good care of it except all the duck poo. That's pretty disgusting at times. Until I signed up for GolfNow I played there 2 to 3 times per week but because of some of the other courses offering better prices for pretty much the same type golf course I now choose to play those courses more often than not these days. Bottom line, if they want the higher prices they need to start earning them otherwise they need to be more price friendly.
this course requires strategy!
I play this course five or six times a season and like it more every time I play it..
Good deal for the overall cost.
Course was in descent condition, the staff was very accomodating and the cost for the package was very reasonable . would recommend Golfnow deal and course to others.
Short course but in great shape.
Course is in good shape and a good value for the money (paid $18 for 18 and a cart). There are some pretty substantial undulations throughout the course so be prepared to go up and down. I enjoyed my time.
