There are two 18-hole championship golf courses available at the Bay Club in Berlin, which is conveniently situated just a few miles outside of Ocean City. Both the East and West Courses are routed through mature woodlands and incorporate 426 acres of lakes and wetlands, both man-made and natural. The East Course was the second course at the club, added in 1999. Measuring just over 7,000 yards, it is the longer of the two golf courses but only by about 50 yards. While the original West Course may be famous for its signature island green hole, dubbed "Devil's Island," the East also boasts an island green. The "Paradise Island" green may not be as dramatic but it is certainly still a challenge. The golf course is also known for being one of the only courses in the area to feature tour-quality Zoysia grass fairways.

Good Course
I really enjoy playing both courses, one of my favorite places to play for the money, excellent value for locals, but last two rounds was very slow play.
Reasonably challenging course
Overall, the course was in good shape and management was willing to work with us to accommodate our foursome that had grown into five players.
The only disappointment was the slow pace of play. Never saw a ranger who would have been helpful to move play along. Bay Club needs time invest time and resources to ensure that play is flowing and that bottlenecks are addressed.
Friendly Staff / Reasonable Greens Fees
Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. $35 green fee included cart and range.. Took my teenage son and his friend. Well worth it.
Enjoyable experience
I played both east and west/the latter is harder. Conditions on both are the same-good greens, decent fairways, and challenging rough. Bunker sand quality just so-so. Some very good holes, especially the 2 almost island greens and the par 5's on west course. Score card combines tee boxes so that average golfers have a chance on the hardest holes. Good replay rate-well worth the $!
Great!
Always up to a challenge. Beautiful pro shop, and the course is always in very good shape.
Extremely slow
Very slow. Almost a 6 hour round would have helped if there was a Marshall. 4 drunk guys ahead of us driving all over the greens and par 3s. Were drunk at the turn when one jumped in the cart with me. At least 1 1/2 open holes ahead of them. Saw I Marshall all day. And he did nothing
Decent Golf Course
My overall experience at this course was positive, however, if you are not a member of this course you are not allowed to walk the course. Not sure if I like this policy, but it is what it is! The course was in good shape both on the greens and fairways
Course was in great condition for Fall golf. Great value using the Hot Deal as well!
Great conditions, great pace of play, good value, book it!
A GOOD AFTERNOON
The staff was very pleasant. Couse was in great shape...very golfer friendly. Greens were very true. Chance for an enjoyable round of golf.
AWFUL!!
The conditions of the course were pathetic - no matter what you are paying. I played this course 2 years ago and it was in pretty good shape. I would not go back to this course for a $20 green fee.
Tee boxes were bear or just had some weeds growing on most of them. Many greens were spotty or even bear in spots.
Not sure what happened and there are too many other courses in the area for a much better value.
Great layout poor attention to detail
Had tee time for east course but played west due to recent aerification of greens. Big mistake. Our group misses fairways and finding balls in the rough was a challenge.Rough is one thing but inconsistent rough is another. Bare spots, tufts of grass and unmowed for days. Same for area around green. Poor. I'm sure that scratch players would have issues as well. Not an enjoyable day.
Great golf deal
I love golfnow.com. Super deal on a very good course. Great fairways. Greens a little bumpy but overall a fantastic golf experience.
$35 value
The course is very straight forward. If you drive it straight, you will be find. Losing balls happens when you hit the ball off line. Loved the fairways, rough was fine, tee boxes had high grass, greens were a 4/10. It is probably in great consition in May/June. Worth $35 in my opinion.
The greens and the fairways were in GREAT shape.
We played the East Course and it was wet from 2-3 inches of rain the day before, but the course really was very nice to play even with the ""cart path only" restriction. The two of us finished in less than 3 and 1/2 hours without any issues. The greens and the fairways are in great condition. I have been playing off and on at Bay Club for the last 7 years and I think the course is in the best condition that I have seen. It made for a very enjoyable day of golf, even in the 90 degree heat!
Great course for the $
You can find great deals for both the Bay Club courses. East and West both have their own challanges. Well maintained, mainly straight fairways, some elevation changes, watrer comes in to play on a few holes.
the course is fun to play, the fairways and greens are in great shape. Great value for the money.
Ample fairways and approachable greens, very fun to play and the pace of play was excellent. The staff was very nice at check and handling the bags, highly recommend the course.
East course in very nice shape. Greens were great. I'll be back.
Great course, great staff. The rough was cut short enough we never had an issue finding the ball. Love the bermuda fairways. There appeared to be some localized small areas that had suffered water damage or were still soggy from heavy spring rains (I suspect), but they were minor and presented no problems. There was no issue on the greens.
Golfnow saved us 10 pp. Last year (or year before, can't exactly remember) that meant only a stingy small bucket of range balls. But this year there was no difference between full fare and Golfnow discounts. Glad to see that and now have a more positive attitude about returning.
Wet course but still a great day!
The course had received between 1 and 2 inches of rain the evening before and we expected cart only. We played the East course and boy was it wet! There were 3 holes on the front and two on the back that almost under water and shouldn't have been playable from the pro shop. But aside that, it's always a course that is in great shape and even without Golf Now, the local rate in the afternoon is still a great value. I've been to Bay Club several times and I'll definately go back. Also, if you don't mind paying $7, the chicken salad croissant is awesome.
