There are two 18-hole championship golf courses available at the Bay Club in Berlin, which is conveniently situated just a few miles outside of Ocean City. Both the East and West Courses are routed through mature woodlands and incorporate 426 acres of lakes and wetlands, both man-made and natural. The East Course was the second course at the club, added in 1999. Measuring just over 7,000 yards, it is the longer of the two golf courses but only by about 50 yards. While the original West Course may be famous for its signature island green hole, dubbed "Devil's Island," the East also boasts an island green. The "Paradise Island" green may not be as dramatic but it is certainly still a challenge. The golf course is also known for being one of the only courses in the area to feature tour-quality Zoysia grass fairways.

Overall very good
I would give the course an excellent if wasn't for the burnout problems on several greens. The sand traps are very course and packed down which I attribute to all the rain.
Not quite there yet
Played the West course. Some greens still have patchy spots. Course in so-so condition. Would not have been worth playing at full price.
Winter golf doesn't get much better
Paid $17 for 18 holes. Played course in 3 hours. Doesn't get much better for winter golf. Course was ok considering recent hurricane and winter settling in.
36 Holes of Eastern Shore Delight!
Annual October vacation week in Ocean City, Maryland.
One of the premier walking courses on the Eastern Shore. I went off as a single on the West course at 8:10 and finished by 11:45. Pretty much had the whole course to myself, one of the advantages of weekday golf. After a quick lunch, I was off, again on the West, just after noon and done a few minutes past 4. The East side course is also very walker friendly.
The fairways are a little spotty in places and the 16th green is a bit shabby. Aside from that the rest of the course is pristine! Greens were fast and smooth, several have very challenging shelf's and contours.
This parkland layout is a great mix of wide open driving holes and tight tree lined placement holes. I generally play from the Blue tees here, a little over where my 20 handicap says I should be. I'm not a fan of 240 yard par 3's, all the par 3's here are reachable without breaking out the long clubs. Water on most of them encourages accuracy however.
Pro shop is well stocked, small practice bucket of balls is included. Good eats at the grill, plenty of water stations on the course and several well placed potty stops. Keep an eye out for the plentiful local wildlife. I have seen Deer, Turkey, lots of Hawks, and a Bald Eagle dinning on a fresh fish breakfast behind the 8th green on one occasion!
The course was in great shape.
Played the East Course and it was excellent. I really liked the Zoysia grass fairways. The staff is very friendly & hospitable.
Not bad for a reasonably-priced round at the beach
The East course at the Bay Club is in good shape - tees and greens were nice, and the greens were rolling smoothly. Fairways were very nice and had a good "springy" feeling when you walked on them. A very good deal for $45 given the location - we'll play here again.
