Houston Oaks Golf Course

Per the norm, the course was in great shape. One of the prettiest and most challenging courses in the Lexington and surrounding areas

The course is in great shape...bent grass fairways were perfect and the greens were smooth and fast.

Houston Oaks is a very nice course but slow play could result in lost business. The last two times that I played, the rounds were over 5 hrs. We had to wait on every hole. Management needs to have someone on the course to speed up play on weekends.

Course is challenging yet easy because of the level of detail and work the stag puts into maintaining it.

Great greens but spotty grass conditions elsewhere. All in all great course for the money and played in 4 hours on a Saturday.

Beautiful weather and great layout; greens were recently areated and shaggy.
Keep your ball in or near the fairway or it's likely lost. Tee shot placement will make or break scoring opportunities on several holes.

Will definitely return For additional rounds. Even though course was airated it was still outstanding round of golf

Beautiful layout.
Perfect fairways. Divots come up like a piece of carpet.
Greens are fast.
Some forced carries. Some holes require that you be on the right of the fairway, and punish being out of position.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.
I will play this course as often as I can. One of the most beautiful courses I've played.

Once of the best courses in central Kentucky for layout, features and beauty. Lots of challenges such as blind shots, water (if you hit to the left, the back nine will punish you), a few bunkers, slopes in all directions and a few tight fairways. Greens play very well, particularly for early September.
My only complaint was the pace of play. Too many golfers holding things up.

I picked up a Hot Deal for a great price on Monday. Wow, what a bargain. Course was in great shape. The bunkers were groomed and the mowers had just passed through. Weather was perfect( which means the parking lot was full). Nonetheless, a twosome could breeze though in just over 3 hours. Staff was friendly and gracious with my GolfNow reservation. Since I felt welcomed, I spent extra money on range balls and food.

This was my first time playing this course and I was very impressed. Couse was in excellent condition! Beautifully designed and challenging. Cart GPS is also a bonus. Just wish I'd played better! First class!

Played many of the courses in Lexington, which has many good courses, this is one of my favorites.

Front nine is good, back nine is great, more difficult and more beautiful than the front.

Sand traps could use a little work and more sand.

Located in Paris, KY, this is one of my favorite courses outside of Lexington. The greens are always in great shape. This day they were soft and rolled out very well. Always a challenging layout either from the blue or white tees. And the staff are friendly which makes for an enjoyable round anytime.
